Question about Projection Televisions

1 Answer

My samsung la52a650 LCD television has trouble starting on its first start every day. I push the on button on the remote and the LED at the bottom of the screen flashes as if the television is starting normally, but when the LED stops flashing all I get is a black screen. When any button on the remote or tv is pressed, the LED lights up as normal but no function is completed. It wont change channel, you can't get the menu up and you can't turn it off - although it is black, you can see the backlight working. The only way to get it to operate is to switch it off for about 10 seconds and back on again, after that it works perfectly for the rest of the day.

I have 2 remotes to my RCA LED52B45RQ tv. both are RCA remotes and we are having the same problem with both... they randomly stop working (nothing works). power button lights but nothing happens.

You may have a stuck button and not know it. look at the led end of the remote with the camera on your cell phone. If you have a stuck button you will see the led flashing. If it isn't flashing. push a button to see the led flash. Keep pushing different buttons to see if the led will flash without holding a button down. If you push a button and the led doesn't flash, it can be worn carbon button or the ic in the remote is failing If this test procedure does not find why the remotes die. you may want to invest in a a remote that will never become obsolete or worry about codes to operate more devices. It's called a Harmony remote. It's awesome. Logitech Harmony universal home theater remote and app

Samsung lcd tv can't find a source, buttons on remote control don't respond, nor buttons on the control panel on the right side of the TV device

consult the owner manual or call Samsung---this set likely has a lockout feature that locks both the remote and the keyboard out.

You might also want to research this by taking the model number and Google key words "remote lockout" etc.

Hi, I have a samsung le32r74bdx lcd tv and the volume has just gone to 100 and i can't turn it down?

First, start by unplugging set to try to reset. Then make sure that all settings in audio menu are correct. Also look for stuck volume up button on set and on remote. Sometimes buttons get lodged under surrounding frame. Also try to push volume down button on tv and watch for display on tv to see any change. If when you release button volume increases by itself, remove batteries from remote to eliminate it as cause. If nothing you try works expect to replace main pcb. You can probably price it online with model number. Good luck, Russmann.

    Remote not working.

you answered your own question. yes it is with the receiver on the tv. most like the receiver led it self sounds bad. if you take the little black box apart inside you will see a led receiver and an ic you might be able to find one at mcm electronics that looks about the same.

    Can't change channels!!!!

take the batteries out of the remote...now check if you can change channels manually on the big screen. if so the remote is stuck on one signal that channel u said. get a new remote. if still same trouble on big screen look hard at the buttons and make sure none are jammed. also try to get to your setup menu and auto-program the channels it should search everything and then try changing channels. new stuff alot times plugs come loose, goes back to the factory workers...not pushing them tight have a tech check that at your home.
