Question about Canon PIXMA iP4200 InkJet Photo Printer
Error message: More than one ink tank (yellow) is inserted. This is not the case. How can I solve the problem?
I had the same issue with my black cartridge. I changed it for a new one and bingo. it works. Expensive solution though, especially if it reoccurs.

I solved the problem (I hope more than temporarily) by going out and buying a new yellow ink cartridge. The new one seems to be working, but the cartridge that generated the error message was brand new, too - hardly a satisfactory outcome. I worked out that buying a new cartridge would be slightly cheaper than signing up for one of the Canon support plans. As you can guess, this experience does not augur well for me buying more Canon products in future.

Tips for a great answer:
Confirm there is no orange tape across the top of the ink tank
If the orange tape is as shown in Figure (A), it is properly removed.
If the orange tape is as shown in Figure (B), remove the remaining tape to the level shown in Figure (A).
Make sure each ink tank is snapped into the printer.
