what driver are you seeking? If it is the motherboard driver and not listed by asus try the intel website.

I've been wondering that myself. The SoundMax Drivers on Asus' website (usa.asus.com) start an install, but don't actually work on my board giving me a message that I need to install drivers(duh). 
I'm assuming you have the Realtek AD1980 AC '97 on-board controller that I do. I contacted Realtek awhile back about these drivers and they were no help (they said they don't have drivers for the chip because it's not actually theirs...right, that's why their name is on it.)  I have a couple different zip files of drivers that are SUPPOSED to work, but none of them ever did. So I finally resorted to spending $30 on a Soundblaster Audigy SE just so I could have sound. It was worth it to me just so I could forget the headache it caused.
If you want the drivers, do a google search for "ADIwdm_366", "WDM_A400.exe" and "AD1980 AC 97 drivers" (those are the ones I have)... Also, check usa.asus.com under their support pages--click downloads and then you'll be taken to a page where you can either automatically scan your system or manually select the component(Motherboard),  the type (socket 478), and the specific model (p4pe-x).

Asus motherboard, no vista drivers for components listed, however I bet a new installation of Vista would detect proper driver installation
