What brand of router do you have? what specific model? check your router lights if the wireless lights are on, make sure that the antenna's are properly attached . By the way how many wireless computers do you have? if it's a laptop make sure to check if the wireless is enabled. Sometimes you have to turn on a switch or a button for the wireless to be enabled, or hit a function key (Fn+F4) most commonly. If none of these works, we'll take a look inside your router's user interface for settings.

How to wifi my Dell e310 to my Netgear55 Wirless Router

Hi
Yes you will require one wireless adapter ,so that you can connect to the Netgear Router. And it needs to connected to the USB port.
In case if your computer had ib built wireless adapter, you can use the Fn and F2.
Just try to press the Fn and F2 , and see if it can accept the wireless signals or not. Also check in device manager , whether you can see any wireless adapter or not.
If you have any wireless adapter you dont have to connect any device in USB.

In case if you have any more trouble do contact back in Fixya.
Thank you

L300 wireless problem

Ive had a similar problem and it was due to windows and the software for the router both trying to run the network and was causing problems.Perhaps check and see if there are two programs running.

Other than that perhaps you could return that router if you can and stick with linksys or netgear.

Question :
Does it cut out the same no matter how close you sit to the router ?

My Belking G+ adapter has stopped working again. There is no signal at all from the usb.

Belkin adapters ****, i have had two and had the same problem i eventually went to linksys. Of course they have had some issues as well.

Try re-installing the drivers andconfiguring it to the wirless connection.

You may try resetting the router by unplugging it for 20 seconds and then back in, and seeing if that helps.

Most likely you getting booted off the network due to IP renewal issues between the router and the adapter.

Cant get wirless lap top pick up router

I know it sounds stupid but a lot of people just forget to turn on the wireless switch.

You may want to check first if the router is being picked up by other computers just to eliminate the possibility of a busted router. If no other computers can pick up your Router's signal then it's the router that you need to replace. If other computers can pick up your router's signal, then it's the computer's wireless card that's busted.

Can not connect to wirless router

Whether you are using a notebook or a desktop PC you have to run windows network setup wizard. The PC & notbook must have a wireless network card installed inorder to connect to the wireless router. Though most people who use a desktop PC hook directly to the the wireless router through a Rj45 cat5 or cat6 patch cable. Reason being a desktop PC is less likely to be moved around. Read & follow instruction while in network setup wizard. Windows does most of the work for you. One suggestion. If you do not setup security for you're wireless, anyone near you will ba able to tab into you're wireless network & steal you're signal. You will be asked to setup a password. (Do not loose you're password)!
