Question about Motorola T8500 Two Way Radio
I have 4 of the motorolla T8500, We can't get them to work. They are powered on, but when we hit the button to talk the other person can't hear. Even if we are in 50 yards away
It is likely you have the Interference Eliminator Code (aka Private Line or PL) set differently among the 4 radios. Your T8500 has 22 built in frequencies (noted by the BIG number on your screen) and 121 selectable PL codes (noted by the small number below the BIG number on your screen). All four of your radios must match on both numbers to communicate.
Use the menu button until the code starts to flash. Use the + or - button to select the code. Once you have selected the code you can press the PTT button to lock it in; or you can press the menu button to continue programming other features.
