Question about Philips 42PF7320A 42 in. Plasma HDTV
My philips 42PF7320A 42" plasma recently started cropping the image way too close even though i have it in 'widescreen' mode. I tried the philips remote and got into the directory where you choose the type of cropping you want (4:3, superzoom, movie expand 1:4, 1:6, 16:9, widescreen, automatic, etc) and my options are limited to only widescreen and automatic. For some reason, i cannot click on the other options. WHen i first purchased the tv, all cropping options were available and now i have only two. Very annoying b/c i am trying to watch the olympics and the top and bottom of the screen cuts off half the score and whatnot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
When using a hd connection on a philips tv and (I am assuming this is the case) the tv disables the format features on the tv and only lets you select widescreen and automatic, if you are using hd adjust the picture size from the cable/satellite box, look for it in the box's menu system or on the remote, it is usually labeled, aspect ratio, zoom, format or something to that nature, hope I helped you
