Does it make any strange noise with no RCA cables plugged into it?

If not, you need to check the shield grounds on your head unit.

Damage to the head unit can cause the amplifier to do strange things. We need to know if the head unit is working properly before you can do more troubleshooting.

I need to know which wires are for which speakers so my new head unit will work

Would need to kow what kind of car you have to be able to tell you but a quick way to find out is to take a AA battery and hook up the neg and positive wire from the speaker to it to see which speaker it is. If you are trying to figure out which wires from the unit are for which speakers, then take a speaker's (one that you know the location of in the vehicle) wires and hook them up to a set of wires from the unit and adjust the fade (front, back, left, right) to figure out which position those wires are for. If this doesn't help any let me know what kind of car you have and I'll see if I can help further.

check your wiring, is it properly grounded? is your remote positive wired to your ignition's positive line?

Fosgate P250.2, No power at speaker outputs.

I presume you have the power light on as well? if not, check for twelve volts at the remote turn-on wire with a meter (you probably already did though). So, in conclusion if the power is on you should have speaker output. Check: the gain to see if it's not turned all the way down, your RCA Jacks might be bad or have a loose connection, your RCA output on your stereo isn't ouputting the sound properly (you might want to try a high-low converter and connect it up to you two rear speakers). Let me know what you find and we'll go from there. If you are still having problems and need more help, email me the details of what you tried and we will figure it out

Hooked up the amp, lights up, fans kick on and run fine, speakers hooked up proper, no sound? hooked up speakers to another amp and they work fine. Fuses are all good too. Thoughts?

could be bad rca cables or no output from the radio rca outputs. the sub control may be turned off on the radio (ive seen that alot at my work). if all that is fine, the amplifier may be bad. the rca cables may be plugged into the "out" section of the amp. gotta look at all the small obvious things first. good luck.

Protect light comes on, no power

Hello patrick_h_mi,

You'll also need a remote turn-on source for the amp to operate. Normally, this is a blue or blue/white wire from your head unit, but for test purposes, you just need 12V to the "remote" terminal on the amp. The amp should power up without speaker inputs or speaker connections, but it is not recommended.

Hope this helps.

Visonik 350watt Amp Doesnt Come On....

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter probe on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red probe alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Either the speaker is shorted out (blown), or the output transistors in the amplifier are bad. Try hooking up another speaker to the amp. If it plays, the amp is good. If not, then the amp is bad.

Hooked my punch Punch P450.4 up to speakers and ran rca cables to front and it wont work

Hi Jon,  you need to hook the Remote wire up to the Radios  Blue remote wire.  The car battery power stays on all the time.  The blue Remote wire watches to see when the radio turns on, and signal the amp to turn on as well.
