What about copies or internal prints?
If even a copy doesn't work then it sounds like your LASER unit has gone out, in which case I'd just replace the machine.

If the internal pages or copies come out but not faxes, and you know the sender is sending correctly, then it could be an issue with the main board.

I'd get a second opinion from a service tech locally but I can at least give you the part numbers for both so you have an idea of the cost of parts.

LASER UNIT
LM4578001

MAIN BOARD
LG6141001

I can send but it is a blank piece of paper whats the problwem

I imagine you are using a fax to send a copy in which case the printed page goes face down ( the faxing process actually scans the page , turns the data into signal , transmitted by line to the receiver that deciphers the signal and turns it back into readable data
if you put it in printed side up then the receiver will get a blank page as it is blank on the back of the page

Getting thick black line on edge of paper on all faxes coming thru

If it is just on faxes you are receiving and not on ones you send it sounds like it may be your drum. You may have a small tool in the fax to gently rub across it and clean it. check your manual to make sure. In worst case scenario you will have to get a new drum. Look on line for your model. Other wise if it's on copies and faxes you send as well it's going to be the thin piece of glass right where the pages are being feed in that needs to be cleaned

Can't fax or copy on brother mfc3240c machine

Sounds like you may have a small obstruction in the scanner feed. This would inhibit making copies and sending faxes. Lift this section up slightly to inspect for small pieces of paper or dust. Blowing it out with compressed air would also be a good idea.

Faxes come through blank

The machine USUALLY tells you you are low on ink. It 's possible one or all cartridges are dried up.

TX problem

If I understand you right, what you send, people are receiving blank sheets?
When you try to run a copy are those blank also?
If so your problem is with the scanner. The drum should have nothing to do with sent faxes.
Unless your putting the paper in the scanner upside down. And if you ran it enough to need a drum I can't imagine that .

Receiving a fax

It will be a problem with the other ends fax when it sends its stretches out the fax too much and it transmits accross two pages. The other fax is telling your machine to print out accross two pages in the transmission. Older faxes are the worst for it.

Can not receive faxes or blank pages com thru!

Can you make a copy and get a good print? Does the blank pages come from different people? If you still get a blank from making a copy, then try a different toner and or drum unit. Hopefully it is still under warranty.
