Question about Multimedia Projectors

Projector won't stay on

I have a Sharp XG H400U LCD Projector. In a nutshell it won't stay on. I power it up and it shuts down. While on (however brief) the lamp light is green. I've cleaned the filter. Won't the lamp light be red if I need a lamp? I don't have a manual. Any ideas what's wrong with this unit?

I have the same problem, when i turn it on it will stay on for about 15 minutes then it turns off, fan and all. I can immediately turn it back on but it will only stay on for a few seconds before turning back off. If i leave it off for a while, then turn it back on, it will stay on for another 15 minutes before turning back off.

Problem with Optoma EP739 projector: Projects seems to start normally; after about 1 - 2 minutes of use after apparent self-check, lamp turns off and indicator light on top of projector (labeled "Lamp") switches from green to red. Manual says "When the “LAMP” indicator lights solid red, the projector will automatically shut itself down. Please contact your local reseller or service center." The nearest reseller for me is around 4000 km away. I've left telephone messages at a US sales and service center, but do not get return calls. If there are no ready, simple fixes (or things to try), I suppose I can mail-order a new, inexpensive projector, and anticipate potentially replacing it every 2 - 3 years. Even at $1000 each, replacing at such an interval would be cheaper for me than buying a similar Optoma and having a problem every 3 years.

Most projectors have a filter that can be removed and cleaned. Perhaps it is clogged or you may need a new bulb.

I replaced the lamp in my Sharp XG-E3500U and there is lines in the picture now. How do I solve this problem?

mostly, this is caused by a default of the lcd screen inside, if so, you must replace it, if your model is using 3 lcd screen, open the cover, disconnnect one of them , run the projector, if you don't see lines, power off, reconnect it and disconnect the second, till you see the lines, so you can localise the default one. you also can try to check the lcd screen connector, disconnect, clean, reconnect

Auto shutdown sharp xg-p25x projector

This would seem to be heat-related as these lamps get hot rather quickly. The first quick and dirty solution - try cleaning the filter which is under a panel on the bottom of the projector. Another fix - be sure the projector is plugged into an image source; i.e. computer or DVD player. Sometimes these units will go into standby mode without a signal. More difficult fix - be sure the fan is runningn. When it shuts down, the fan should keep running until the lamp cools, then it will shut down. If the fan isn't working the temperature build-up with shut the projector off. Replacing the fan may be a job for a tech.

SHARP XG-P25X PROJECTOR PROJECTOR RUNNING THEN IT IS AUTOLOG OFF AFTER 2MIN. WHEN PROJECTOR IS RUNNING ITS SHOW GREEN LED AFTER LOG OFF IT IS SHOW RED LED ON LAMP AND POWER LED

either the lamp hours are close to or exceeding 1400 hrs and the lamp needs replacing, or the ballast is starting to fail. with the projector on, check the lamphours in the menu. after you replace the lamp (if it needs it), reset the lamp timer by holding down the down arrow, right arrow, and enter buttons, then press power.
