I got a new Lenovo Y460p i7 2630 QM last week. Everything else appears to be working fine, but the laptop has issues with the wireless internet. Although, it works fine on LAN, and my other laptop connects to my router at 54 Mbps, this new y460p connects at 6 mbps mostly & drops to 1 mbps. I have checked for the drivers and it appears to have the latest driver. I'm running out of options, could you please help?

Hello
Wow youve done almost everything here. How about the firewall? is it blocking any connections?

Next,Go to control panel, network and sharing center.Look and see if the pc or laptop in question is on the same network, meaning home or public.

Set all your machines to the same network.Either home or public.I do know this has been a win 7 problem.

If all your gear is working fine then the issue lies with the girlfriend's laptop wi fi chip. I had the same issue and had to return the laptop for another.

I just installed a new ECB-3500. It works fine on

Connect your Lenovo to the ECB with a standard Ethernet cable. Assure yourself that it can talk to the internet in this configuration. If it works, it will rule out DNS and DHCP issues and will point to a wireless-only issue.
Temporarily turn off encryption on your router and see if your Lenovo can connect. If it does, turn on WEP encryption only. If that also works, go back to WPA. Wherever the process breaks down, it will tell you where your problem lies.

We have a Intel wireless-G 2.4 GHz and everything was fine until we moved last week. Now the internet works on this computer that is directly hooked to it and the wireless seems to work but I can't get...

Your Intel wireless-G 2.4Ghz is defective, all you have to do is test another wireless LAN to make it sure that is working via USB panel.
I encounter this kind of problem and wish it would be the same like me. Usually this kind of problem cannot see itself that is defective but it is working good to your PC.
Just try a new wireless LAN if might work.
Good luck!

If i am helpful please rate me.
Thank you.
