Delphi MyFi problem: The earphone jack has evidently worn out and I wanted to repair it but cannot figure out how to get the unit completely apart. I have tried contact cleaner in the jack. There is evidently a hidden screw in the top of the unit after taking the lower screws out of the battery compartment. Can you tell me where it is or how I can repair the earphone jack?

If it is still under warranty you can send it back.

Want to copy songs in my mifi xm to computer how? only have the 3.5 plug on my mifi

This is of course against the rules of your XM user agreement, but if you wanted to 'test' this out, just run the 3.5mm plug from your earphone jack to your 3.5mm 'LINE' input on your computer. Load the free program called "Audacity" on your computer, hit 'record' and you can record and edit the song, saving as an MP3 or WAV file. Again, this is against the XM rules, so this is all just theoretical okay? You would then need a program like Nero to take the MP3 or WAV and record to a blank CD. Just a theory though.

Make sure that this is NOT a "Sure Connect" version that has a very weak FM transmitter, but the older original model with a bland box. Make sure no earphone is plugged-in, then go to the menu and set the FM frequency and set the FM output level and you should be all set..

How do I take apart the MyFi?

take off battery cover, remove battery, remove 'cardboard' and any screws you can see under the cardboard, Then carefully pry apart. There is one small cable that goes from the antenna jack on the side to the top, and another small cable for the built-in antenna at the very top. Both are VERY VERY fragile.

I have a delphi mifi which is in perfect shape except the ear phone jack is broken, any idea where i can get it repaired?

you can actually buy the ear phone jacks at any radio shack store. they are simple to replace just pull it apart and solder two wires. should be fairly inexpensive to just do it yourself. if you do not feel comfortable doing it any electronics repair shop in your area will be able to do it for you

My delphi xm2go radio unit will not take a charge. Have tryed everthing! It starts to charge then goes dead!

I had the same problem, Based suggestion that the plug in the Radio is worn and not making contact, I used a small screw driver to shift the pin in the charger input hole from the center a little. That did it on both my Myfi;s. The now charge properly, and stay on as long as I need. Which needless to say, brings a smile to my face :) .

Dear xm2go,

I could not find any service options for my own Tao XM2go unit. The only option appears to be the Delphi MyFi unit which appears to be identical (see page 10 here: http://file.xm411.com/manuals/MyFiUserGuide411.pdf )

I have the same problem. I finally was able to get Delphi Tech Service and found out that these units have a flaw. they have been going out after about 14-18 months and there is no known repair... neither does Delphi offer a repair service for this problem.
