Question about PDAs

Delphi MyFi problem: The earphone jack has evidently worn out and I wanted to repair it but cannot figure out how to get the unit completely apart. I have tried contact cleaner in the jack. There is evidently a hidden screw in the top of the unit after taking the lower screws out of the battery compartment. Can you tell me where it is or how I can repair the earphone jack?

If it is still under warranty you can send it back.

you wont, it will sense off of the jack as to which output method to use. If the jack is bad and the device cannot communicate with it, it will remain in its current state.

Hp hw6515d no sound loudspeaker

Hi, Antonio--
This appears to be common with the 6515. You will either have to get your headphone jack replaced, or you can try what finally worked for me. Insert and remove your headphone jack as many times as necessary to get the internal connector in the jack to work properly.
It took me about a dozen tries, doing it both fast and slowly.

Speaker no sound

In the socket where you plug in the external earphone are bending contacts, which also switch of the speaker when you are using an earphone. Try either putting in the jack and wobbling and twisting it, or tapping the corner with your knuckle.

IN EITHER CASE - BE GENTLE

That will knock of the dirt and the switch will work again

Try putting in earphones and check. Sometimes the contact inside the earphone jack jams against each other and then the phone thinks there are earphones plugged in thus bypassing the speaker.

it's the same for me, but i figured out the problem came from the earphone jack, when i plug in to my television the electric spark caused that line of keys to stop functioning like normal, but after I discharge the jack with an ordinary headphone for a while, the keys back as normal

No, No, No I'm afraid. This thing can't hack it when it comes to the power required to download mp3 files. Maybe some /really/ lo-fi midi or such, but nothing plesant.
