So I just had a friend bring me his new trimmers and said they weren't cutting even though he zero gapped the blade, I turned it on and tied cutting a little hair on my hand and they indeed were not cutting so I took the blade off and backed it off from the zero gap just a hair so it still cut very close and this solved the issue, I think for whatever reason because the teeth on some trimmers are so fine they need a degree of separation from the blade so the hair can get between them, otherwise it could be blade speed if your clipper has that power screw on the side try playing with that if the de-gapping doesn't help
Hello,
Try cleaning the head cutter below the main stem. Remove screws and clean old hairs in there, also lubricate.
Thanks

you move the inner blade up so it cuts sharper. take the blade off, loosing the 2 screws on the inside, move the plastic up and put it back together
SOURCE: adjust blade
On the Andis T-Outliner or Outliner if you have use the trimmer for more than 3 hair cuts or 3 time or more I do not recommend moving the blade, reason why is that you have all ready start or have a sit in or a grooved, I have found that by moving the blade it won't cut at all.You need to resharpen the blade with a professional sharpener and have them reset the blade for the type of hair cut you want. The blade can be set to shave or do line ups, and Fades. This type of trimmer is for that kind of hair cut the professional barber use them all the time. Call Mannys Sharpening 323 263-4697 They have a good rating on Yahoo Local.

sound like your clipper blades may require sharpening, just remove the blades and send them to a professional company specialising in scissor and clipper sharpening.
