Sorry to say but you will need to replace the motor. After water gets in you can rarely save the motor no matter how long you let it dry. There is an internal over load inside the motor that is cutting out after 30 seconds and once it cools for 15 or 20 minutes then it resets .Hope you found this information helpful and thank you for using Fix ya.
Check your vent and vent hose for restrictions. Even a tiny air restriction will cause the thermostats to shut down quicker and take longer to dry the clothes. If you use softener wash out the filter well because the screen will clog up. Set the control to MORE DRY. Dry cottons on timed settings for maximum heat.
ck vent to outside starting at back of dryer looks restricted or flatten vent hose then ckd vent from wall or floor to outside to verify problem is vent issue leave vent hose off and try a load may get a little warm and dusty but would be quick way to verify
If you use dryer sheets, LG recommends no. Dryer sheets cause a film that will not allow the sensors to feel the clothes moisture during the drying process thereby causing the computer to countdown the timer quickly. To clean out the sensors, use a green pad and scrub the sensor bars inside the dryer drum. That should remove the film left by the dryer sheets.
