Google end user licence agreement

I have recently bought my laptop & after installing my wireless broadband connection I have a google end user licence agreement which I can't get rid of. It does not have any buttons at all in the top right of the window, I am unable to close, minimise or maximise it. There is no option in the window to accept it or anything. Initially it appeared 'in front' of everything else so I was unable to do anything at all, but I have resolved that. I have switched computer on & off several times but it's still there. It's a Satellite L350D

To stop the problem completely, you need to go to 'Task Manager' then 'Processes' click EULA.exe then 'right click' and click 'Open File Location' do that with all EULA.exe and go to the open folder and delete all the files associated with it or delete all you see on that folder. Restart window afterwards and you will see the problem is gone.

It must be in your startup folder; click start>run then type 'msconfig', and press enter.

A window will pop up, go to startup tab and look on list for anything to do with google and untick it, click apply, then you will be prompted to restart the pc, do so; and it should now no longer show

Close the 'Google Toolbar EULA' window If you're seeing a Google End User License Agreement (EULA) window when you start your computer and you're unable to close it, follow these steps to resolve the issue: 1.Click the Windows Start menu, and select Run. 2.Type msconfig into the 'Open' field. 3.On the Startup tab, deselect the 'Ecenter,' 'EULALAUNCHER.exe,' or 'toolbar_eula_launcher' startup items. 4.Click the OK button. 5.Restart your computer.

Posted on Apr 07, 2013

Go to your windows 'Task Manager' by pressing ctrl+alt+delete keys together then click 'Processes' and close or click 'end process' any programs called EULA.exe

SOURCE: Google end user licence agreement

The problem here is that you are not seeing the entire screen. Your screen resolution is probably set to 800x600 this needs to be increased to at least 1028x764.

To do this (in Vista) go to Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > (under the header Personaltion) Adjust Screen Resolution

Slide the bar in the center of the popup window to the right to achive a higher resolution. Click OK.

After you do this you should be able to see the entire license agreement.

Laptop finding router but no internet connection

If you can connect directly to your virgin Media Broadband and get internet then your laptop and broadband router is fine.

The wireless router appears not to have a DNS entry and you will need to add that manually.

I suggest that you connect directly to the Broadband modem, be sure you can get onto the internet. Once you have confirmed you can get onto the internet you need to get the dns information from your Broadband modem for later.

once connected directly to the broadband modem, click start>run> then type "CMD" then click open. you will get a prompt type the following and record the DNS Server ip addresses.

"ipconfig /all" then hit enter
this will display your ipaddress information but mostly you need the DNS server ip addresses.

once you have recorded them rerun the install, but this time instead of at the end of the install where it shows the Wireless router information you can modify or change it and add the DNS server entries.

Also by default most wireless routers ip address is 192.168.1.1 and you can type that from a internet explorer and change it from there as well. I believe it's no ID or user name and the password is admin.

Good luck

Eula

PROBLEM: Google toolbar EULA window that is cut-off on the right and bottom of the screen.

DISCUSSION: User is unable to minimize, close or continue because those buttons are off the window. The window is always on top and convering the whole desktop. Could not get to control panel because it opens behind EULA window.

RESOLUTION: You can fix this issue by ending EULA task in task manager. Then increasing the screen resolution from 800 x 600 to 1400 x XXX. After restarting with the increased resolution, the EULA window comes up but is not cut-off. User is able to continue with the option to install Google toolbar or not. When finished with it, change resolution to desired size
