the security code listed there is just an example code. is there a way to reprogram the faceplate as if it was new-- no code entered before.

  • hckydv7 Aug 19, 2008

Unale to use last commet as It was an international link.

  • hckydv7 Aug 19, 2008

pushing reset button only resets unit if there is another problem. you have to enter the security code to activate system at that time.

    thanks guill

hckydv7, you may also try to remove the whole unit from the car, look for an internal battery at the back part of the unit, remove it, let it sit for around an hour at least. as per some users this was able to remove the code.

if all else fail, please consult the seller of the car from ebay for the code (just a personal thought)

I have a Kenwood KDC-322 car radio. It says enter code. Does anyone know where i can go to get this code?

The only way that i know how to get the stereo to unlock is to remove the power from the stereo for about 10-15 seconds then reconnect power back to stereo this should reset the unit.

My work van stereo is now locked and needs a code after I had to change the van Do you know it or who I could ask who might know what to do It is a Kenwood and on the front panel it has KDC-5016

All original car radios have their own unique security codes.

Assuming your radio is the original for this vehicle you simply take your vehicle ownership and registration papers to a Ford workshop they can get the code from the Ford computer network on the spot.

If the code does not work then it means that this radio is not the original for your car as it would have been replaced with them radio model.

If this Kenwood is an after vehicle purchase, you may need to contact Kenwood Car Audio.
Or get Kenwood's contact details through your local car audio dealer.
