Most lamp invertor boards receive rectified and filtered mains dc voltage as the input power supply.
So if you have 240 V AC mains you would typically get around 339V DC. ie 240 times root 2. the peak AC voltage.

They are turned on by the BCM !
Park, Tail, Marker and License Lamps
The park, tail, license, and marker lamps are turned ON when the headlamp switch is placed in either the HEAD or PARK lamp positions, or anytime the automatic light control (ALC) turns the headlamps ON. When the headlamp switch is placed in the park lamp or headlamp positions, ground from G202 is applied through the signal circuit to the BCM indicating the park lamp request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies ground through the park lamp relay control circuit energizing the PARK LP PCB Relay. With the relay energized, battery voltage is applied through the switch side of the relay, both park lamp fuses, and the supply voltage circuits illuminating the park, tail marker, and license lamps. Ground for the left front park and marker lamps is provided at G101 and the right front park and marker lamps at G100. Ground for all rear lamps is provided at G302.
Turn Signal Lamps
The LT T/SIG and RT T/SIG fuses located in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the body control module (BCM) for turn signal and hazard lamp operation. When the turn signal switch is place in either the LEFT or RIGHT position, ground from G202 is applied through the turn signal switch signal circuit to the BCM indicating the turn signal request. In response to this signal, the BCM applies a pulsating voltage to the front and rear turn signal lamps supply voltage circuits cycling the lamps ON and OFF. The BCM also sends a message via GMLAN to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to cycle the turn signal indicator ON and OFF depending on the position of the turn signal switch.
Ground for the turn signal lamps is supplied as follows:

What does the Canon IR8500 error code E000222-0000 means?


There's no code like that in my manual.It's220-001 means lamp inverter PCB faulty,or reader controller PCB faulty. There's also a E 225-000 error which mean scanning lamp(xenon tube) is faulty,or inverter or CCD

Exposure lamp problem
• Check the CCD input value for the lighting status of the exposure lamp 100 ms after the exposure lamp is lit and the carriage is moved to the shading position. If the exposure lamp does not light, turn off the lamp. After 500 ms, light the lamp again and, a further 500 ms later, check the CCD input. The exposure lamp does not light after 5 retries

causes
Poor contact of the connector terminals. Defective exposure lamp. Defective main PCB or inverter PCB. Incorrect shading position. CCD PCB output problem.

First if you can, try the monitor with other PC first to make sure it is not the PC problem.

If it behaves in the same fashion, then most probably has dying power supply due to bad DC filter caps, just see the top side of the caps to ensure it has not bulged up distorted.See the images bellow

Then there is the logic board. Plug the monitor in but do not activate the power switch so the backlight inverter circuits will be off. Check the 5vdc and the 12~24vdc to make sure they are OK. They should be tested with the load, you can use 6V 1A (6watts) lamp for the 5vdc, and car lamps such as 1157 (12v 8watts lo/26watts high) turn signal brake lamp using high filament connection for testing the 12~18vdc (or use two 1157 in series for 19~24vdc) for the backlight inverter circuits.
If the power supplies are working, the output voltages should be steady at the rated voltages. The power supply will go into shut down if it detects too much current draw due to false in the power supply or short circuits in the backlight inverter or in the logic board.

The backlight inverter circuits:
It takes the 12~24vdc and converts it to high frequency AC to drive the inverter transformers CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) assemblies. The transformers will drive the CCFL by applying the start up voltage (around 1500~2000v), when the CCFL start conducting, the voltage will drop down to about 500~800v.
The inverter has detection circuits to detect open circuit if the lamp is not attached or does not fire up after the start up voltage is applied, it will go into shut down. It will also shut down if the lamps draw too much current due to ages (when lamp gets old it will draw more current).
The inverter gets two signals from the logic board, one is the backlight ON/OFF signal, the other one is the Dimming signal for the lamps.
Common problems:
Bad filter caps, resonant caps (in the inverter output circuits), blown transistors/IC, shorted or open transformer winding.

If you are confident with your skill then go ahead else go to an authorized outlet for repairing
Do write back if you face any difficulty while working on the monitor

Hi.

If the screen is dark and there is still sound is usually because there is no power to the inverter board. Parts that cause this are inverter, power supply or main controller board. Power to the LCD panel should also be tested.

before declaring the TV faulty make sure that the problem is not cable settings or source selection.

Check if there is on screen display (the menu). If OSD is displayed, then the problem is either cable/source settings or a defective input circuit. Try also disconnecting power cord for ten minutes and then up to one hour. Power drain may fix temporary faults.

If all that does not work, then the problem is either inverter or power board. In some case the main controller board may also be responsible.

The inverter is a power board that converts DC voltage from PSU into AC high voltage, powering the whole backlight system. When there is a problem with the inverter the whole screen will be completely dark, while the sound keeps going on.
A problem with the inverter will mean that either inverter is bad, power supply is bad and does not power the inverter, or main board is bad and does not turn inverter on. Those are the three parts that must be tested when the inverter does not fire up ( sound and dark screen). Here broad description of how to test the three parts: Before proceeding...

From a user level point of view, all you should do is disconnecting power cord for fifteen minutes, and testing the TV with different connected devices and different cables (e.g. with a DVD, a receiver box, using a SCART and using HDMI).
Disconnecting power will allow a power reset that sometimes can fix temporary problems (usually not sound but no picture).
Testing different cables and devices excludes the chance of the problem being given by a bad cable connection.

If that does not work, call the manufacturer at the number listed in the owners manual. Verify warranty status (warranty may have expired 09/10). Make present to the operator that the TV is just out of warranty, and that the fault occurred without you making any wrong use of the TV. Some manufacturer in some case apply special condition.

What causes Viewsonic VX910 to go to black screen one second after power ON?


Depends of front LED behavior: if it turns off as well then power supply gets overloaded, if it stays on then inverter turns into protecting mode.
In first case check for suspicious looking electrolytic capacitors over power supply module.
In second case you may need to check backlight lamps, driver MOSFETs in the inverter (if PCB around and under them is darkened, better replace them). More unusual problem is faulty high-voltage capacitors in secondaries of pulse transformers, or damaged insulation of high-voltage wires from inverter to lamps.
Please ask if you need you need more specific info about MOSFETs or lamps replacement.
