Laser printers are not recommended for UPS systems because they draw large amounts of power for the fuser when printing.

The UPS should be fine with just the computer plugged in.

HL-5250 report shows fuser and laser life at 0% and PF kit 1 at 12%

The fuser is a separate component to the drum and toner in this printer. It has a much longer life than them but will run out eventually. Sadly a fuser unit is not a commercially available consumable for this printer either. I would recommend contatcing a printer technicain or Brother directly for a quote on replacing this part.

Fault code 37,004.40:49612

Check you power coming in to the unit. If you are using a surge protector or UPS unit, Plug the unit into the wall and power up the printer. If that does not work, then:
PEST Fault 37,004.40: xxx
Printhead reservoir 0 disconnect:
Reservoir is not drawing the expected power from the power supply.
Service manaul states the the printhead needs to be replaced.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Printer Not Communicating with Computer

this is a link to the Lexmark Web site, download the proper drivers and software for your system,

http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:436:0:0

If you are having problems with communication with printer, check the cables, if it is connected via USB.
Move the USB connection to a different USB port on the PC.
Unplug printer from the power supply, plug back in and turn printer on..
Print a test page from the print driver located in the control panel in the printer and drivers folder..

Printer will not turn on

the UPS is unplugged from the power outlet but it is still connected to the modem

it is a lightning storm - and computer equipments & peripherals can only withstand very little amount of electricity

check your warranty status (warranty starts from the date of purchase) then call the vendor
