Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players

I purchased aMagnavox vcr/dvd player manufactured by funai, When I record on vhs. and eject the tape the function changes to dvd format and the vhs function does not work because it changes to dvd function and I have to unplug the unit , then vhs function works, so how much does it cost to repair?

Your player is not defective,you just have to consult your user's manual for settings

Hi,

I suggest you to unplug all the cords from the back of your unit for 24hrs and then plug it back in so that your unit resets completely.

Whats the model of your magnavox? double check the manual that you are doing it correctly if you don't have the the manual i can look for it.

Cannot play a VHS tape. Push in and pops out.


The belt on the loader motor is slipping. This causes the tape to not completely position itself to allow the tape to load around the drum. The machine senses this and ejects the tape.

Have a Magnavox MWR20V6 - have a few things going on, one the power shutting off automatically when i put the vcr on timer and therefore does not record, and 2 vhs tapes that are almost new, gets stuck


Junk it. It's identical to Funai WV20V6. I can't remember exactly what is causing the shutdown. But, I do remember that it says it can't be fixed. Read other posts here at Fixya.

Recording from VHS to DVD


It is only a DVD player, you can't record with it. You can only record on VHS tape.

You need to replace all rubber bands inside the VHS.Vary difficult to find rubber band kit.If you use the TV in the heat, u must place a fan of some kind in the back blowing IN to cool the insides of TV. [AFTER U REPLACE rubber bands]

Copy Audio Cd into DVD


Best guess...put audio cd into DVD side, Video tape into VHS side. Set the VHS to record in SP, Then record the cd to vhs. then when you are done recording on the vhs, put a blank DVD in the recorder side, and press dubb to DVD to get it to record from vhs to Dvd.

Recording from vhs to dvd


Direct copy VCR to DVD:
- Insert VHS tape you want to copy
- Insert a recordable DVD disc
- Press DVD copy button on front panel or remote control (to DVD).
- To stop recording press the stop button.

IMPORTANT: If attempting to copy copyrighted material the Samsung DVD-VR320 will detect the encoding and will not allow the copy to be made.

VHS player stops


VCR is set with blank tape..Bring up vcr control on TV with television set on Chanel #3, go to menu
Follows procedure for progamming date,time start,time finish,chanel and.speed and single recording.finally click on menu and turn vcr off. Vcr lights indicate set for taping,,.Does no start to tape at requested time and lights indication taping ready stays on ??????
