The plastic agitator "fin" inside the machine came off, and I can't figure out how to get to the drum to screw it back in. The same thing happened to the matching dryer, and the tech just took off the front panel. I tried that with the washer, and of course the drum is sealed. Do I get to this from the top? When she fixed the dryer, the screw was sitting in the bottom of the dryer...I have no idea where it would be if I need to go in through the top. Any help would really be appreciated!

Look inside the drum at the place where the fin was on the drum. Do you see any screw holes now showing? That will tell you that you need to take the machine all apart and re-fasten the fin on with some screws, unless the holes are stripped out in the fin itself, in which you will need to get a little bigger screws, or buy a new fin. Oh yes, I have been using an epoxy cement in a tube that has 2 chambers, and this may help you. I think it would work here, but will not be strong enough to glue the fin back on. I sort of think it would stand the heat if you used it to help secure the screws into the fin. Honestly, to me the new fin sounds " hard to get". Be blessed.
take off the back of the machine. It will give you access to drum. There are screws to loosed. Go the PartSelect.ca and type in your modle number. You will be able to look at a diagram on how they are removed.
Refer to pages 5-2 and 5-3 of the manual below to see how to expose the drum by lifting the top of the machine. Then turn drum very slowly and only until the screw holes for the missing fins are within your reach. Most of these dryers have two sizes of fins make sure you order the right one if you need to replace them.
Pull the agitator off and check the plastic block attached to the shaft top. Is it split or has sheared splines inside it? Remove the mounting screw to expose the shaft. Does it turn back and forth when it should be agitating? If no, possible transmission problems.
here's the part number for the replacement8182233, thinking it may come as a 3 pack , if they're not broken no need to replace. but the new one will simply slide in and with a click forward lock into place. they also come shipped with a screw to secure. in order to install screw you'll need to remove the top of the washer(3 screws across the back of the top assy and slides back and off. thenyou'll see the top of the tub area, a small black hose will run from the white box to the left to directly top of the tub assy. remove ethe hose from the tub and spin the inner drum to the correctposition, they screw hole will line up through the opening, re-secure the hose to the tub and your in!
you should be able to Open the top of the Dryer, from front to back, U might need to pry the front corners up with a flat tip screw driver. It should hinge to the back, to expose the Tub... Hope this Helps U...
