Red ring is not the only problem with Microsoft Xbox 360. This amazing device also has some more common problems like Audio but no video problem, disc read error etc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty only for red ring problem. Means you will have to spend some money to get this problem repaired also if you plan to send your xbox to Microsoft, you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get back your favourite Xbox. There is one more option in the form of DIY guide, this guide explains solving No Video problem with step by step instruction, so any novice can fix this problem

Hello!
This is similar to the Red Lights Of Death. But instead of your CPU having a bad connection, it's your GPU. There is a 3 year warranty on the 360, so call Microsoft and get it repaired or replaced. If the warranty seal is broken you can take it apart and replace the x-clamp with 4 screws, 8 fiber washers, 8 steel washers and heat sink paste. Contact me for further instructions if doing it yourself. I hope this helps.

Good luck and happy gaming!!

My console has no visual, only floating white dots, what's up?

The dots appear to be scrolling diagonally across the screen.
if this is correct then you have lost a connection from the G.P.U.
to hana/ana video chip

This tend to be a stubborn fix due to the fact that the broken connection
is at the coroner of the G.P.U. The best approach is to have a
shop re-flow the G.P.U. and I would also recommend what's called
a hardware upgrade with regards to Microsoft's "x clamp bracket"
I'll give more info on the hardware up if requested.

But the console definitely needs a solid reflow for G.P.U , C.P.U
and possibly the Han/ana chip sets. average cost if 80.00-100.00
with no less than a 90 day money back warranty. Try to
find someone local so if there is a problem you will avoid shipping
charges.

if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Whenever I turn it on, white dots start flying across the screen on my Xbox 360

Hi,
It sounds like the the processor is over heating and its causing the system to shut down before it burned up the board. Basically your thermal paste between your processor and the heatsink is not doing its job. There could be a crack on it might have just degraded over time.
This can cause the system to freeze or see white dots on the screen. It needs to be repaired before more issues happen. Dont turn it on you might cause more damage
Thank you

Xbox 360 no sound or picture but with a twist

The towel trick is just that a TRICK. overheating your console
will shorten the life of most of the electrolytic capacitors.
and if it works it will very temporary.

First thing to try
goto gamestop and buy a multi a/v adpter .that will have
many plugs . plug the xbox 360 adapter in and then
plug the S-video into your set and some time you
can get video single from this line even if the main
Red /white/yellow/ line are dead . and since you have
sound from red /white you should be ok.

If the s-video has no output then your going to have
to do what's called an x clamp mod on it or
have a shop re-flow the G.P.U. this is the most
durable repair.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Ps3 wont go past searching for network and just show white dots

Sounds like a problem with the network adapter if its not able to detect your network as long as your network is working with your computer.
