If you have widows vista you will not need other software, simply plug the camer in and it will recognize the camera and ask if you want to import pictures into widows photo gallery or maybe even adobe depending on what you have installed. You can get adobe free from the internet.

Nikon Coolpix S52C camera transfer pictures problem.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

How can i transfer my pictures when i can't turn it on? new batteries installed.

Hi Wendy,
If you are using an external sd card, you can use an sd card reader. That is my favorite way of transferring pictures to my computer.
They are cheap and you can take tons of pictures in high resolution.
If you are using the on camera memory, you can connect with the usb cable to your computer and transfer that way. If you give me more info, maybe I can help. Here is a link to the manual for your camera.

Sony dsc w520 after i downloaded the photos from my camera to my pc ,there are some photos in my camera that i can not see anymore

Hello darianvlad,

You might have accidentally edited some pictures ( Did you rotate some pictures? ) If that is the case, then you can not view then again from your camera (unless you can return them back from their original state). But don't worry, it will still be OK on your PC without any problem.

Anyway, to prevent that next time, you must transfer all the pictures to your PC without editing them (don't even rotate the pictures) and then disconnect your camera/memory card before editing the COPIED files.

I hope this helped you.

You can rate my answer if you appreciate my help.

I don't know how to transfer pictures from my camara to my USB and then to computer or how to transfer pictures from my USB to computer (ie. don't know how to transfer to dBay). Thank you!

Sorry, but the answer you seek is much too long for this site. You need to sit down with the instruction book for your camera and then the help section for beginners on the Ebay site.

No sorry, you cannot transfer the pictures from internal memory to the memory card. You can buy a USB cable online on that big auction site (they don't pay me, I don't write their name) for about $5 including shipping. Don't pay $35 at a retail store for one whatever you do!

Yes and No

YES: If you are using a memory card reader then you need to take out the memory card from the camera in order to transfer files.

NO: If you are thinking of something else rather connecting the camera's cord to transfer files

Hi, my name is Christine, and I have a FUJIFILM FINEPIX S1000. I cannot seem to install the software on my laptop in order to transfer the pictures from my camera to my laptop. What am I doing wrong? Is it...

You didn't say what your laptop is. If it's Windows 2000 up to vista, you must use a system administrator account (e.g. administrator). Windows 7....out of luck. If it's a Mac, the software only works on OS X 10.3.9 to 10.4.10 Remember, you can always use a card reader to transfer pictures and then you don't need any special software. What you already have on your computer will work just fine. typrice_199.jpg

Scrap the camera! Kodak hasn't and won't address the problem. Most picture download software won't recognize the camera. The only solution is to remove the memory card from the camera, put it in USB adapter and treat it like a flash drive. Cumbersome. Awkward. Stupid. After you scrap the ****, tell your friends so they don't make the mistake of buying a Kodak.

I have just purchased a vivicam5018 can i download pictures to my note book without the CD rom

This is the normal process:

You will need to "install" the software on your PC. Run the "setup.exe" program from your CD to do this.

You will also need to connect your camera with an USB cable to your PC to transfer pictures to and from PC.

If you don´t have a CD:

Here´s a manual & driver download site for Vivicam cams
Send them a request.

Installation

You don't need to install the camera.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
