How to get glass out of shelves for cleaning - Refrigerators

I seem to be having the same issue with a Maytag refrigerator model M1TXEGMYS01. I would like to thoroughly clean all shelves of this new-to-is refrigerator but I can’t seem to figure out how to remove the glass from the plastic housing. I was able to take the end and central brackets off (that hold the drawers) but I can’t figure the rest of it out... and the manual I looked up didn’t provide any information on separating the housing either. Please see pic attached. Thanks in advance!

glass shelves you can get cut from a glass suppler or window shop
if you have the measurements you may get wire shelving from a fridge service agent spares or cut wire fencing to size and have the parts powder coated to prevent rust
even aluminum security doors cut to size may do the trick

Well, I don't know about the individual shelves, but for the long glass shelf above the crisper drawers, there are two white clips located at the back edges of the glass that need to be pried out with a knife blade, or something similar. Place your blade in between one of the grooves of where the clip meets the plastic frame (and, NOT between the clip and glass! ) and pry the clip with a bit of a sideways motion. It's a little stubborn, but if you break a clip, don't worry, you really don't need it for the shelf to function.

Anyway, after you pry up the two corner clips, lift and slide the glass toward the back to get it out of the front groove, and voila!, the glass comes right out.

Call a glass shop and they should be able to steer you in thhe wright direction

Will they go in the dishwasher? If not, use an old toothbrush to get into the edges; use lemon juice or vinegar to degrease, rather than a bleach.

sounds like liner has expanded because it warmed up try turning it back on let it run overnight and try again

On my Kenmore (795.7555* made by LG) French door, the adjustable shelves are removed by tilting them up and then bringing them forward. The sliding shelves and drawers just pull forward.

Which model LG refrigerator do you have? There may have been design changes between your fridge and mine. Please add a comment with the information for specific instructions.

You could try soaking them in hot water and see if the warming of the glass will allow some water to seep between the shelves, thus separating them.

I have found that Windex work fine.

the shelves can be removed not taken apart. sorry they're glued together, just use a bristle brush and some bleach. no problem.
