How do l connect computer to tv

In order to connect your laptop to a television or computer is actually a fairly easy step and simple. Try checking your laptop or computer and your TV to be able to find out information about the exact connector types to choose an appropriate input to the device. It is almost the same as when you are going to connect a DVD player to your TV. You have to figure out the input of the device to be connected to your television.
Some computers have an S-Video port that can be connected to the S-Video input on the TV screen by using the S-Video cable is relatively inexpensive. To get a more recent picture quality, you can connect your computer to the TV using a VGA port or through a DVI or HDMI cable that provides support on the TV.

How do i connect my dell latitude D610 to my Ilo tv?

Computers have become all-out media centers, capable of playing movies, music, and video games and even of streaming live television. Modern computers also come with an assortment of ports and outlets that allow easy connectivity to other devices, including televisions. Today's HDTVs can display high-resolution images ideal for showing off the media available on your computer, and they're relatively easy to connect.

Determine which type of cable to use; it will depend on which ports both your computer and TV share. Older computers and TVs will only have S-Video or VGA ports. Ideally, your computer and TV will both have HDMI ports, which allows for high-definition video and audio transfer. Consult your owner's manuals for port identification before deciding on which cable to use. Connect the computer's video outlet, either HMDI, VGA, or S-Video, to the TVs corresponding video input. These will usually be on the back of the TV and will be clearly labeled. Turn on your TV and set it to the proper video channel, which will correspond with the type of cable you have used. Some TVs have multiple ports for the same connection. Just set the video channel to whichever port you have used--for example, "HDMI 1" or "HDMI 2." On your computer, right click on your desktop and highlight "Graphics Properties," prompting a submenu to pop up. Highlight and click "Output to TV." Your computer's images should now be displayed on the TV instead of the monitor.

How do i connect my profile 5.5 to my tv

Your computer and the tv needs to have the same type of connection to make it work otherwise you will have to have some type of gadget between them that makes it thinks the connections are the same.

Most computers have S-Video, VGA or HDMI as their means of displaying or connecting to some type of external device. If your computer has only the one output type and your monitor is using it, then you can purchase a Video (Graphics) Card that has other types of outputs.

You simply run the connecting cable from the computer to the tv and then take the tv's remote and press Select Input then select the Input Source where you want the tv to receive the signal from (PC, S-Video, HDMI, etc.). Reboot the computer and the image should appear on the tv.

What do i need to use t3500 to watch tv

  • 1

Determine what kind of video line-in connection the TV has. These connections are typically on the back or side of the TV. You also will need to determine what kind of video line-out connection the computer has.

Types of video connections include S-Video, VGA, DVI and HDMI. The Resources section of this article offers links to sites that will help you identify the connection type of your TV and computer.

  • 2

Purchase a video connection cable that is for the type of connection that the computer and TV share. For example, if the TV and computer both have S-Video ports, you should purchase an S-Video cable. S-Video connections are the most common and least expensive option.

  • 3

Connect the end of the S-Video cable that matches the connection on the computer to the computer video line-out port. Connect the other end to the video line-in port of the same kind on the TV.

  • 4

Convert video from VGA video to S-Video or even component video. Do this if the two connection ports on the computer and TV are not compatible. You will need to purchase a scan converter box, a VGA video cable, and either an S-Video or component video cable. Connect the cable that will connect to the computer jack to the computer and the converter box, and connect the S-Video or component video cable to the TV and the converter box.

  • 5

Turn on the TV and use the remote control to select "Input." Some TVs will have multiple selections. Turn on the computer and play a movie or display an image on the screen. As you are scrolling through the "Input" options on the television, you will see a matching image of what you opened on your computer on the TV screen when the correct input is selected.

  • 6

Adjust the screen resolution on the computer if the image on the TV is distorted, too small or too large. Do this by going into Control Panel and Display Settings on the computer. Select a different screen resolution until the image on the TV fits the TV screen

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

    You'll need:
    •VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
    •HDMI cable
    •DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

Do you have an HDMI port in your computer? If you have, then it is easy to connect your computer to your tv making your tv an extended monitor in watching high definition audio and video.

If you want to connect your tv to your computer and watch tv shows, you need to install a TV Tuner Card in your cpu through a PCI or PCIE Card. Once installed, at the back of your cpu, you will have a co-axial port or a compatible port to connect your tv to your CPU.
