Question: what is the model of the Onkyo receiver? Have you tried contacting our 24 hour Product Support dept. for more assistance (800) 229-1687? As these remote codes are easily available on our website under the SUPPORT> REMOTE CONTROLLER tabs.
Check it with fresh batteries.

possibly a problem with the receiver. first you could try a power cycle, unplug power cord of receiver for a minute then plug it back in and try again. if you still have the problem disconnect all speakers and see if the receiver will stay on.
Hi, unfortunately this remote does not have the ability to program to your Onkyo receiver. You must use your original Onkyo remote to control the volume of it. If you need a new Onkyo remote you can purchase one from Replacement Remotes. You can also buy a universal remote to program and work for both your units, so you will not have to keep switching back in forth between remotes. If you would like a universal I suggest getting the RFS200, this remote will even work if your receiver is not in direct line of site.
If you want the original remote, you will have to contact the maker of the TV.LG,Samsung, whatever it is.They probably go for close to $100.I also have a suggestion. No matter what the discount is,you should avoid buying floor models. The store usually gives about a 10% discount, but that is nothing considering that it is on,all day, during store hours, usually for about a year.If it is a 24 hour store, that is quite excessive use it has endured and you may end up having problems within a year.10% is not even close to a good discount.Even at 50%,I still would not buy one.Greg
You will either have to use your Onkyo remote to teach the Harmony those functions or try one of the similar model receivers in the Harmony software. I had to chose a similar DVD player in the list in order to get my Harmony to play nice with my DVD player.
