My harman/kardon speakers or dell speakers are making fuzzy sounds when i turn the volume up and down, i think it is the volume knob on the speaker because i wiggled the volume knob on the speaker and it made a loud noise.

The capacitor 104 is 0.1uf ceramic has no reading with analogue multimeter in any range of ohms scale.
if it read any of ohms value ,it is bad.
please check the large electrolytic capacitors too and loose connection for the board and.if you have volume controllers clean it with alcohol or contact cleaners.
if your device is older than 5 years it is time to change all the electrolytic capacitors.its sound like foolish but it brings new life and same quality when your buying time to the sound system.
If they are computer speakers try this: (remember i am doing this from a windows vista) on the bottom right hand of the screen there should be a volume key right click on it and click on playback devices then right click on your speakers and click properties and go to levels and turn down the volume from there and see does that work... hope this helps.
