I have 2 MP160 printers both linked to computers running Vista. Both printers have the same problem - they often jump to print on page 2 when page 1 is only a few lines full, then they jump to print on page 3 when page 2 is only a few lines full and so on. It happens more often when printing in colour than in black and white but in either case I get a single page document printed over about 6 pages. Any ideas?

It sounds like you need to set the default paper size on your PC.
And make sure the paper size on your printer is set correctly for the paper you are using.
The PC:
Go to your printer folder in control panel>right click on your printer (one at a time) and click on properties>then device settings. Check on your default paper setting. It should be letter if that is what you use most of the time. There is a drop down size menu to select from, however.
Be sure that if you change the printing preferences temporarily when you are printing you do it from your program not from this area, since it is only temp.
It seems strange that both of your printers do the same thing. It must be a functional setting such as this that you have wrong, so give this a look and check on the printer settings. What are you printing when this happens? Documents? If that is the case, it could be margin settings in your document program. If photos and graphics print okay, then you need to take a look at your margin settings also.
