I had a similar problem with my SMT5600. I've found that when this happens, if I just hold the hangup key until the keypad locks, I can then unlock the phone and it will function normally. Try this to see if it helps.
You need a mini SD card do to this. If you are using windows media player it will be the easiest to sync:
Step 1: Insert MiniSD into the computer Step 2: Open Windows Media Player Windows Media Player should detect the MiniSD Step 3: Go to the sync menu in Windows Media Player Step 4: Make sure the music is selected and library, if you do not have your songs here, (using limewire or something, you can add them to your library; Where it says library on top go below it and an arrow should appear and click it, scroll down to add library and select the option you want ans search all of them, your music shoudl be added to WM) Step 5: Select your songs and drag onto the right side Step 6: After you selected all the songs click start sync at the bottom
