It my be the amount of devices connected? Try shutting down all but one, the laptop. It's possible you have a defective wireless device? If you connect the Laptop via a Ethernet Cable does it connect and work well? Turn off every thing, unplug remove battery from everything. install battery in the ISP modem , if applicable, plug in, allow self test, plug in Netgear, allow self test, plug in Laptop only, connect to wireless, enter security key. post results.
