This version of the program was released for XP. If you have Win7 32-bit, try the compatibility mode. If you are installing the program, choose Properties and then the Compatibility tab. Turn on Run program as Compatible with the appropriate OS. Then right click again on the installer and choose Run as Administrator. Then check if the program itself is running in the compatibility mode by right clicking again and choosing Properties.
I do not know if this will work. A method that will work is to use a computer (virtual, dual-boot, or true second machine) with an older version of Windows installed. If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can create a virtual XP computer for free. Download and install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft. Install them in order. Then install the Ulead My Scrapbook XP software in the virtual computer and it will work. (Other virtual computer programs are Parallels and VMWare.) All of the other options will require a licensed version of the older Windows OS. Please note that the virtual computer can't share files directly with the main computer. You'll need to save files to external or removable media (optical media or flash drive, for example) to share them. Also your printer can only be installed on the virtual computer or the real computer at any given time. You will be asked to uninstall if you try to install on the other.
While it is a program designed for Windows XP there does not appear to be very much information on wether it will or will not function on Windows 7. With tha being said there is a very high possibility of may work on Windows 7 seeing as the operating system has implemented the ability to function with backwards compatibility with a major amount of older software (I tested some software that was designed for Windows 98 that works on Windows 7 surprisingly enough). Best way for you to tell is try installing it and see if it runs, honestly though, it would not surprise me if it did work.
Windows 7 has a "Program Compatibility Wizard".
Launch this Wizard, and tell Windows that you want to install a Windows XP application.
Point to the CD-ROM containing the software, and install it.
hi This issue can be caused by any of the below possibilities 1. File is corrupt, bad, or missing 2. File is not designed for your version of Windows. 3. File is a virus, worm, or other malware file 4. Hardware incompatibility i suspect your problem to be /2or4 .silly question does it give your particular windows as one of the designates for your program.if there is hard ware incompatability you could try if you have vista orwindows7 to make you program compatable. hope this helps.
Hello dmozao,
There are a few scrap booking programs that will work with Vista. If you already have the Scrapbooks Plus you may want to try running it in compatibility mode. To change the mode do the following:
Right click the programs icon
Select Properties
Select the compatibility tab
Check the "Run this program in compatibility mode" box
From the drop down menu select Windows XP
Click Apply then Ok
Try running the program again.
The compatibility mode has helped me save some money in the past. If this solution was helpful then please rate it. If not, reply back and I will list a few native Vista scrapbook programs. Thanks, Edward
You know I bought a new printer and Scrapbook Plus 2.0 came with it. I didn't want it on my laptop but the other day I just put it on my Vista desktop and it does work fine.
