Green hue to my screen..then red

Been watching tv with no problem the last few days... walked out of the room today and came back to a green hue all over the screen. Thought maybe the cat walked on the menu remote, changed around the tinting and contrast screens. It didnt go away. Turned tv off for about an hour and turned it back on, now it more of a red. But I have left it alone for a little while and it seems to be back to normal. Any ideas what could have caused this?
