Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W100 Digital Camera

My Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W100 and picture "tiling"

My camera seems to randomly tile pictures when I take them. So instead of 1 normal picture, I get a 4x4 grid of little pictures. We talked to the Sony support man, and all he had to offer was that it was that instead of putting the memory stick into the computer, to plug it in with the card. Needless to say, I tried that, and that didn't work either. Sometimes though, it will take a normal picture, and the next 30 after will be tiled. It always shows a normal photo on the LCD screen, so you never know if you get a good picture or not. We tried taking the memory stick out and taking pictures that way, but it is still tiling the pictures. Has anyone had this problem, or maybe can offer up a better solution than Mr. I'm no good Sony fix it man.

Thanks!

How can I download pictures from my Internal Memory from my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W100 to my computer?

Two options: If you normally transfer your pictures by connecting your camera to your computer, remove the memory stick from the camera before making the connection.

Alternatively, if you use a card reader to transfer the pictures directly from the memory stick, use the "Copy" command in the "Memory Stick Tool" submenu to copy the pictures from the internal memory to the memory stick. The Memory Stick Tool and the Copy command are described in the "Memory Stick Tool" section of the manual (beginning on page 53 in my copy). If you need a manual, you may download a copy from here.

Its due to slow shutter speed setting.
If you want to take moving object picture, set high speed shutter, there would an icon of golf stick that is for moving object pictures.

Sony DSC-W100 PROBLEMS

I found a solution that worked for me further on in this site. The person said to reset the camera. On my Sony DSC-W100, I opened the battery/memory slot door and to the left of the memory slot there's a tiny gray dot that I pressed and the problem has gone away.
