You may have popped a fuse during the installation process. Have a look at the fuse box under the dash.

Some Pioneer decks have a light green wire which connects to the parking brakes - a safety design - if this wire is not connected the unit will not work.

bestbuy sells a harness that directly plugs into your truck. Or ebay search smart harness then go to car electronics and they are there, prewired.

Wiring problem with sony explode cd player and 07 dodge ram 1500 wiring is correct i think but it doesot turn on

First, did you use a wiring harness? If not, undo your install and replace the factory Harness in the vehicle. You can purchase a wiring harness for about $10 that you wire to your radio. This allows you to just "plug" the harness into the vehicles stock harness. If you have hardwired your radio you run the risk of frying your entire electrical system. Hope this helps.

For starters, I want to make sure. You did purchase a wiring harness that "plugs" into your vehicle, right? If not and you are attempting to hardwire to your vehicle, STOP! You run the risk of frying your entire electrical system. If you purchased a harness you can crip the wires from your head unit to the harness and the harness plugs in. DO NOT crip wires directly. You are experiencing just a little of what can happen. However, if you did purchase the correct harness, you need to check all our crimps again. Hope this helps.

OK, before you start splicing and frying your electronics in your vehicle, STOP! There are some place online that sell the vehicle side of the harness. Check on the Scosch or PAC website. If that's still not an option, check your dealer parts guy. Even if it costs you $100 to get a harness from a dealer, it's better than the $2500 to replace all your electronics and computer. But then again, that's your choice. Happy hunting.

If the unit is aftermarket and it has a harness, the wire will be blue. If not, visit installr.com and find ur Car model and the wiring harness codes will show which wire is the ignition remote wire on. That is the wire you need to hook up your amp to.

it sounds like you need to turn on our amplifier. this is simple and easy to do just by connecting the blue/white wire off of the back of the radio to the blue wire on the harness that connects to the factory harness.

I would like 2 connect mazda wire harness to nextar ncd50.HOW CAN I CONNECT that can u plz explain me

It depends on if you have an after market wiring harness that adapts the factory harness to the new cd player, or trying to hard wire into the factory wires in the car. First off, if you don't have a aftermarket harness, i would strongly suggest picking one up from Wal-Mart or automotive store, they are around $20 and save a lot of time. If hooking up this way, you just have to match the color wires to the same color of wires on the cd player. Red to Red, which is power, Yellow to Yellow which is Constant power, Black to Black which is Ground, Blue is only used when you have a power antenna that goes up when the car is turned on or if you have a amplifier, you can hook up the remote power to it, otherwise, leave it off. Then you will have your speaker wires which the fronts are White and White/Black, and Grey and Grey/Black. The rears are Green and Green/Black and Purple and Purple/Black. The ones with the Black striped go with the other matching colors with the black stripe. Then you would just plug in the factory harness to the aftermarket, and aftermarket to the cd player. If you are trying to hard wire into the factory wires, you will have to cut of the harness, find a Haynes or Chilton book at an automotive store and find what wires are what and use the color codes from above to hook back up, factory wires are always different colors. Once again, I strongly advise not to do it this way though. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Difficulty wiring into GM harness

well if your trying to actively wire it up with the car battery still connected that is why you are blowing fuses. just a heads up too if you have a live connection while hooking up the cd player you could short out other electrical devices and you could be in alot more trouble thatn just blowing fuses. the black wire is what is blowing fuses its because you have it hooked up wrong to a wire that is sending voltage not recieving voltage. ground the black wire to the actual chassis instead of hooking it to the ground wire from the harness or whatever color its grounded to which shouldnt be anything but black if you have the black wire hooked up to ANYTHING that isnt black that is why you are popping fuses. so hook up the red yellow and make your own ground you shouldnt have any problems after that.
