First problem is the data inportant to you on there, if so before and other work is done i suggest have it recovered before work is done, easy way remove hard drive and place it in a docking staion as long as the drive is readable and use another machine to expolore you hard drive to recover data. if a corrupt mbr use icare data reovery as a computer shop or centre will be more than happy to charge big money.

We all know that all our files in computers are saved inhard drives. And a typical hard drive is partitioned into at least two differentsections. So you can run two operating systems (such as Windows XP and Windows7) in your hard drive, although most hard drives are divided to createdifferent file systems within the drive itself. Generally, hard drivepartitions will be formatted using either the FAT or NTFS file system.

However, when partitioning a hard drive or restoringsystem, one of partition is formatted by mistakes, which means all your fileswill be wiped out! Well, if you haven'tforgotten to make backup for all your data, you are luck! But wait, I have nobackup! What can I do? Is it possible to recover data from formatted partition?Don't worry! The answer is- Yes! You canrecover data from formatted partition by yourself! Here's how to retrievethe lost data.

What'llhappen to my partition after I format it?
Formattingyour partition does not make your data on it really erased. It only deletes theinformation about your files on the address table. And all your data are stillthere. They're just invisible or inaccessible. This means that the files areconsidered to have been erased permanently on the partition can still berecovered. However, just take note that once you save new files in theformatted partition, theses files will be written over the files you want torecover.

There are ways to recover data from formatted partition.
Recovering datafrom formatted partition is easy to do with partition recovery software. Thereare numbers of partition recovery tool available such as Tenorshare DataRecovery (for Windows), Recover Datafor Mac (for Mac). These partition recovery program can recover dataafter deeply scanning your hard drive to look for lost data from the formattedpartition and locate data found on it. Within a few clicks, you can recoverformatted partition.

And you also cantake your hard drive to a recovery office where supply datarecovery service. But let's hope not because it will cost you a lot of money (usuallycost you $1000) and whether they can recover data is not guarantee.

I am getting a stop error that leads me to believe the MBR is messed up on my RAID drives. It may also be because the boot sector has become infected. Is there any way that I can set the system up to boot...

If you can install an IDE drive as a first boot drive and install Windows on this hard drive with the SATA RAID drives as the secondary drives, then you may be able to recover your data from the RAID drives.
You may be able to fix the MBR first before installing Windows.
To fix the MBR run the DOS command - fdisk /mbr

do you have your original windows software disk?
you can go to safe mode by pressing f8 during the boot sequence.. tap f8 a few times from the second the computer starts to boot.
It is possible you have a virus or something that damaged the master boot record.

Here is a tutorial on recovering the MBR:
To access this, I booted the system from a Windows XP CD, waited for files to be loaded into memory, then selected R for recovery console, selected my Windows XP installation and entered the administrator password.
Once inside the Windows XP recovery console, I tried the fixboot command. This didn’t seem to make any difference on reboot, so I tried again with fixmbr. After another reboot, Windows XP was up and running (some Internet sites suggest fdisk /mbr but that’s not a recovery console command under Windows XP).

If your PC cam with a restore CD along with the OS, I would suggest you boot with this restore CD and when prompted, insert the Original OS CD and if this works then you may recover your MBR files, i.e. you had not formatted all the drives when installing Vista. so all the best....sodeep

REBOOT LOOP -EMACHINE T5026

You have provided some good information, but more detail is needed.

Is the system still under warranty? How long ago did this start? Have you added any new hardware or software?

Your reboot issue might not be hard drive or MBR related. Disconnect everything not needed for booting. Even disconnect keyboard and mouse to see if it will get to the Windows Desktop.

If that works, start adding until you get the reboot problem again.

If none of that helps and you need to recover data from the computer, buy or borrow a hard drive you can boot to for the computer and when you are able to boot to Windows, you can back up your important data, then wipe the drive and reload Windows or leave it blank as extra storage capacity depending upon your desire or circumstances.

Let me know if you have questions.
