Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL-32S2000 32 in. LCD HDTV
When I connenct my PS3 trough the HDMI cable to my tv the picture comes in off color and distored. Mainly where the screen is black. It does it both with Blu-ray and games. I have tried changing thesetting on the tv and PS3. I have also used the default setting on both. My friend has the same setup and have tried all the setting he has on the the tv and PS3. I have also tried a different HDMI cable. I have also tried all 3 HDMI hook ups. When I hook up through the cable that comes with the PS3 it worked fine. There is like a green tint to the screen and you can see the pixles. I am out of ideas.
You most likely have the updated drivers. You may have to go and change a setting. I found an answer on the PS3 website that may be of some use to you. I hope this helps you: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=1662191 From the site: "go to bd/dvd setting and set the "108024hz" option off"

Change the frame rate on your tv to 60hd, that should solve it. Basically, your tv might be set to theater mode which is playing 24hd..

SOURCE: PS3 will not display on TV
WHEN YOU START YOUR PS 3, KEEP YOUR FINGER ON THE START BUTTON UNTIL YOU EAR A SECOND BEEP ( BETWEEN 5 & 10 SECONDS); THIS WILL RESET AND SELECT THE RIGHT CONNECTION . I HAD TO FIND THIS PROBLEM WHEN WE WERE SWITCHING FROM THE LIVING ROOM TO MY KID'S ROOM.
LET ME KNOW, HAPPY NEW YEAR.

SOURCE: PS3 No signal to the TV
To solve this, when the ps3 is in standby (solid red light), just hold the power button. It should beep on, then beep again in about 5 seconds. This will automatically search for the optimal audio video output. if if beeps on then turns off, just try again, it takes 1 or 2 tries sometimes. the reason this is happening is because your ps3 is set to one AV output, ex. composite(red yellow white), HDMI, and then you changed the cable to a different one. another way to fix it is plug both cables, HDMI and composite, into the tv and ps3, then go to settings and change the output to the desired one.

hold the power button down when it is red till you hear the quick beeps then select the file restore. this is a diagnostics screen...you may have to hold the power button in for several seconds....does your ps3 work on a non hidef tv?

Testimonial: "Thanks, restoring the original settings worked. A picture will only display up to a resolution of 1080i, not 1080p."
