Thank you Hello Many thanks for answering my querry! I have managed to read the error it seems to have. It starts with BAD_POOL_CALLER and techincal info is: ***STOP:0x000000C2 (0x00000043, 0xD9564000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) It also says If problem continues disable or remove any newly installed h/ware or s/ware (havent installed any) Disable BIOS memory options such as cachingor shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart comp, Press F8 to select adanced startup options and then select Safe Mode. (like you said but nothing happens) HELP if you can as I am at a loss now! I havent installed any h/ware or s/ware - only listened to a radio station through it last night and I go on Second Life - but been on Second Life since January 08.

Hi
Ok one thing you should download and run is http://www.memtest86.com/ to test the Ram Memory.

to fix the startup problem you need a windows XP CD thats the only solution I got for the moment.

boot witch winxp cd. wait until a welcome to setup messages appear.
press R for console.
write in that window when C:\> appears "chkdsk /R" let that run and your problem should be solved.
good luck

When starting my Lenovo Think Pad laptop T400 there is an error message 0210 stuck key 50, what does this mean and what shall I do

Hi

Thank you for your query

Please try the following

1) Hook up a external keyoard to the USB/PS2 prot and see what happens

2) Press all the keys several times when the laptop is switched off to ensure that the keys are not stuck i.e. with debris etc etc

if this fails it would seem you have a bad keyboard, and would be looking at getting replaced

Please leave feedback/vote if my answer was helpful

Exception ereaderror

Hello,
This seems to be a service on your computer failing to load during startup. You need to check your start-up programs for this file. To do this, click Start-->Run, type "msconfig". When the dialog windows opens, go to the "Startup" tab. Scroll through the list of applications started everytime you boot the computer. If you find "77301443.exe", disable it by unchecking the box next to its name, and click Ok.
You will be prompted to reboot your computer.
However, before rebooting your computer. It would be a good idea to run any anti-virus or anti-spyware software, clean any viruses or spyware, and then reboot the computer.
When it reboots, check for the application error again. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank You, Raph30

Bad Pool Caller message??

BAD_POOL_CALLER is a stop error message that is caused because of problems with the memory management.

There is a list of more than thirty such causes that can give you this error message. If the stop error is consistent every time the system is rebooted, the following method will be effective in solving the problem:
* The hardware and RAM should be checked initially.
* Boot the system once again using the OS setup CD, or use a boot setup that has a GUI like BartPE.
* With RunScanner it is possible to use a memory test tool.
* Select a single account
* If all the accounts open then the system registry hive might be the problem.
* Locate the hive damaged and rename it, do not delete it.
* Create another hive from the backup or from the restore point.
* Initially uses the latest one and keep checking the restore points that come later.
* Avoiding harvesting any replacement hives from the hard drive booted Windows.
* After which compare the hives for differences.

This is one of the ways of fixing BAD_POOL_CALLER errors. Another method is to reinstall the OS but occasionally shows a disk read error or an error on the same lines. Switching the computer off for a minute or more and then switching it on can solve it since the error is only a slight glitch in the system operation.
The BAD_POOL_CALLER is seen for the first time after installing a hardware or software it is recommended that the computer be restarted. If it doesn’t solve the problem, the installation of the hardware or software should be checked for corrections. If the problem persists the installed hardware and software should be disabled, and the BIOS memory options like caching or shadowing should be disabled too.
The safe mode can be used as well to remove or stop components.
To enable the safe mode just press F8 when the machine is being restarted and select it from the Advance Startup options and correct the problem. The installation of the graphics card is another reason the BAD_POOL_CALLER error shows up. A simple reinstallation of the driver can solve the problem.
Microsoft has also acknowledged that the BAD_POOL_CALLER Stop 0xC2 error pops up when trying to print a document that contains a corrupt font.

Bad Pool Caller - Computer will not boot up.

Your Master Boot Record is corrupt. It's the first file after POST that is used to load your operating system. One way to fix is to boot your computer from the original Windows disk. Let it run for a few minutes, it will seem like it loading but it really is not. Eventually you will get to a point where the CD will ask if you want to install or fix. Choose fix. Let it do its thing then reboot. If that does not work let me know there are a couple of other options. If you want to do your own research google "Corrupt Master Boot Record".

Blue Screen of death

According to this link, the memory of Compaq Evo N610c can be upgradable to 1024 mb.

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11382_div/11382_div.HTML

Memory Upgrade for Compaq Evo N610C, the Compaq Evo N610C takes the PC2100 DDR SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with of Memory. You can upgrade your Compaq Evo N610C to up to a maximum of 1.0 GB Memory, the system has 2 sockets to install Memory, already with standard Memory installed. For best system performance use the maximum amount of allowed Memory per slot for your system. (Souce: http://www.memorystock.com/memory/CompaqEvoN610C.html)

So you have to install 512mb memory module on each slot to make up 1024mb of memory.

Did you install 512mb memory module on each slot or did you just install 1GB memory module in one slot?

Try to go back to 256mb RAM and see if you will have the same blue screen error. If you did not receive any blue screen, try to add memory into it or just insert 512mb first and then oserve again if you will have the blue screen error.

You may also want to go to these links for other suggestions.
