Hi Gassman, below you will be able to find a link on parts assembly for the mixer, you will have an idea on how to tear off the parts, get them cleaned and place them back, like a regular maintenance.

What is a good source for a reasonably priced 200-240V 2.7 HP switched reluctance motor found on Hobart's HL600 mixers?

Baldor no longer manufactures that motor. Hobart would have to install a kit that includes every electrical component in the machine. Be careful if you find a used one, they have a very fragile encoder on the rear of the motor.

I've broken the agitator shaft pin on my Hobart A200T. I can find replacement pins online, but the local Hobart tech. is MIA. How do you remove the pin? How do you secure the replacement in the...

Drive it out with a punch and hammer. It's best to take the planetary off the machine so you can support the shaft. If not it puts a lot of unnecessary stress on the bearings and other parts.

Where can I get a manuel for my hobart D-340 mixer?

What kind of manual do you need. The service manuals are only given to Hobart technicians while they are attending training classes for that paticular piece of equip. I have a parts manual w/ exploded views if needed. A operators manual/guide can be downloaded from Hobarts website. You will need Model, Serial & ML # or spec #.

To Whom it May Concer: At the school I work we have a Hobart D-300 Mixer. When we mix bread dough it pulls alot of current and trips the breaker. The max current draw on the name plate is 10.1 amps. I...

7.8 sounds a little high. I'd inspect the GREASE in the unit. Just take off the top cover and then remove the dust cap. The grease in a D-300 is a really thin grease. It lays in the gear case. If things look dry, I'd consider tearing it down, cleaning it up, and repacking it. Get the grease from Hobart. The wrong grease will stress the motor futher.
