My casio exilim ex-z60 wont switch on, I put battery in charger for hours and light flashed red constantly (overnight) so I plugged it into the computer with USB but nothing????

Thank you every one who posted solutions.
I was all set to try the 9 volt trick until i realised i didnt have one so i tried someone else's suggestion of constantly re-inserting the battery until the red light stays constant. Touch wood, but it seems to have worked.

Delay between pressing button and actual photo taken

hi

there is a lot to takin good pictures but its easy too

now when are you facing this prob during low light situations or regularly

if it is during low light then pitching up ur ISO settings say from some 80 or 100 to atleast 400 or 800 should do the trick but beware of a lil picture noise,

also u can turn on the continuous focus(CF) setting

also when you are taking a picture try to focus on the subject by pressing and holding the shutter button only halfway then once you r safisfied with the way it looks press it down all the way to take the picture this works for all photos whether in day light or during low light

if u have any further questions u can contact me on mail2pvs@gmail.com

cheers
pls rate if this was any help

Sony dsc n1 says access then turn the power off and on again when powerd on

I got an estimate to fix the camera for 129$ but thats **** i would rather buy a new camera. the funny thing is i dont need to. someone was joking and said well "how did u break it?" and i said "i dropped it" then they said " well drop it again" guess what? we lightly tapped the camera on the desk and as we were all laughing at how stupid it was to do that we turned it on and the damn thing was working!!!!!!
JUST 2 3 TAPS AND UR CAMERA WILL BE WORKIN I KNOW it sound stupid someone suggested me i thought it a joke but a tried it i gave 3 taps and it was nt workin but after 9 taps its was workin jus try it:)
plz tap it from a small distance and the camera lens face should be towards the desk
the actual problem is the lens is out of place:)

My camera

I had the same thing happen and by searching around for a solution today I came across is easy fix - give the camera a little "whack". It worked like a charm for me and several other people with the same issue. The issue was on this site but I can't find the exact one to link it. I hope it works for the rest of you - other people have paid the $100 to get it fixed, try this first!
If that doesn't work contact canon and see if they will honor your problem according to this advisory :http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=PgComSmModDisplayAct&fcategoryid=221&modelid=10468&keycode=2112&id=48264

Wont show the screen

You cant use regular batteries on these cameras. I have the same one., you need to buy rechargeable batteries or lithium batteries, both are stronger, but more costly than your regular alkaline batteries. This will defrinatly fix the problem..I am 100% positive,.They sell recharg- able batteries ar walmart for like $20.00 taht comes with 4 aa batteries and the pulg in charger.

Error message

my camera did the same thing, lens retracts 3 or 4 times, and then proceeded with an error message "turn off and on again". I pressed the power button probably about 10 times, didn't work, so then i gave it a good smack on the top of the frame a few times while repeatedly pressing the power button and it did the trick. Hasn't gave me problems since...hope it helps
