Evinrude 225 fitch ram injection

The motor runs perfect except between 2500-3000 RPM's. When I run between 2500-3000 RPM,s it runs rough and produces some dark smoke.

my 225hp envirude works perfectly at low rpm's or high rpm', but accelerating between 2500 and 3000 rpm's the engine chokes/vibrates/misfires and the engine light comes on ,the alarm also goes off, if i turn the engine off the alarm and engine light turns off but if try to go fast again the problem happens again(somentimes if i accelerate all the way im able to skipp the misfire and the engine respons fine), now it only occours in the water/ outside the water i can play with the trottle up and down all i want/with the prop engaged and nothing happens?? any suggestions

Mine does the same thing and I have spend $3500 trying to fix it and I am fed up. Put in new lines, impeller, thermostats, EMM. Still does it.

What should the compression be on a 1988 evinrude 185hp outboard?

The compression on your Evinrude outboard should be at least 100 with no more than 10% difference between cylinders. Keep in mind gauges can give very different results. Also, remember the test should be run when the engine is warm!

Hope this helps!

I have a 2000 200 evinrude fitch that runs fine for a while and then blows the 20 amp main fuse with no codes or nothing let it set for 15 or 20 minutes put a fuse in and run again

See/find what that fuse powers. If it only feeds one thing. That thing is probably bad. if it feeds multiple components, look at the ones that draw the most power, Like ignition.

1986 dodge d100 225 engine dodge oil light goes off when idle stays on when giving it gas

It sounds like the oil sending unit is bad. the safest way to check it is to pull out the sending unit and install an oil pressure gage directly to the motor start it up, bring the RPMs up and see what the oil pressure is. Ideally you want at least 15 psi at an idle and prefereably anything above 25 psi at crusing RPM.
