Dropped my nurit 8020 on the ground. Now when I turn it on, the first screen says self test please wait followed by the machine info and secured. Then it goes to a screen that reads tampered device/alarm active/physical attack/press any key. If you press a key it goes to the menu. You can make any of the menu options I've tried work but if you try run appl or restart appl it says checking existence and then it goes back to the tampered device message. I have a crafts show tomorrow-- is there any chance I can make my machine work again, or do I have to tell people to find an atm?

There is no 9020. Did you mean a Nurit 8020?

npm= no paper mode. not recognizing paper. cvv is the security code was not read correctly. it is giving too many odd errors at one time call your merchant service provider to assist with a full download

If you have a "tamper message" this will need the NOS to be reset. This download can be done but the battery may be weak. call Frank @ 775-338-6634

Your external battery probably totally discharge or maybe your machine is not charging the battery anymore because of the broken or bad IRDA (i/o) ports from where you connect the power adaptor to the machine or the worse part is the charging chip inside the machine is already bad that needs to be replaced. If you are just reloading a NOS in your Nurit 8020 machine, even if your machine is secured you should be able to load it, make sure your com1 baud rate setting is the same, your 8020 is set to 115200 baud rate, and should set up your com1 at the same speed...hope this will help and if you still need more help you can call us at (775)358-2922 ask for Randy. Nurit OSP Loader is the the program we use to remove the TAMPER error. Replacing the internal battery and reloading a fresh NOS (nurit operating system) will remove the error. A Brother MFC-8840D reported an Error 6A on the panel after a short power-outage that occurred. Calling Brother indicated that the error reflects that.

To clear the error, the procedure is as follows:
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down MENU button on front panel and turn on power while continuing to hold.
3. Release button after 5 seconds (after the Please Wait message)
4. If error still occurs:
5. Press 91
6. If error still occurs:
7. Press 99

This should clear the error.

do you have available Nurit 8020 terminals currently?are you purchase any tool for this? if no i have tamper recovery tool for this device.

Power down the unit and with your right hand hold down the 1 5 9 and enter keys down. While those keys are pressed down with your left hand turn on unit it should take you to that nos loader menu. Once in the nos loader menu choose back to NOS password is 1947. Once in the NOS menu choose number 6 Service Menu
then 1 Hardware test
then 15 RAM test this will state this terminal will self destruct continue. Hit enter and it will create a new RAM disk once you see the date & time if correct hit ESCAPE if not correct D & T hit enter then put the correct info in Military time MM/DD/YY format. Hit enter and it will take you back to your main screen with the original password of MMDDYYYY that is your password.
