Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
I can't get online with one of my laptops, I get the connection to the wireless network at 54Mbps but when I open the internet browser I don't have internet, I have no idea why this is, my other laptop works without problems.
I don't mean to jack the thread, but I have the same problem. I have the same router with an ethernet connection to my main/desktop computer and I have two laptops in my home. Both laptops (and the desktop) run Windows XP, and all three have Norton Antivirus. Recently, one of my laptops developed a problem with Norton Antivirus and I had to delete it (most of it; I still get Symantec error messages) and since then, this particular laptop can not get on the internet. It does connect to the router with a good signal. It has managed to get on the internet at times, but not at others. I'm convinced it has something to do with the Symantec/Norton problem and my efforts to remove this software.
