For your brake lights...First check your fuses...next check your brake light switch..that would get your brakes lights working..Now cem control unit??? Do you mean (Climate Control Unit)??

Get down and look at parking brake assembly, If you see an electrical connector, unplug it, see if that helps? If it doesn't help or causes other issues just plug it back in.
Of course that isn't the proper fix. If something wrong with parking brake assembly, get it checked out.
check cruise control fuse and check the brake lights see if brake light working because the brake light switch will deactivate cruise control when brakes is applied.if brake lights dont work either fuse blowed or switch bad.if all is good have vechicle code scan because cruise control control by PCM and vechicle speed sensor and thottle actuator control motor.
Check the brake control switch situated just above the break pedal arm under the dashboard. Could be a wire loose or unplugged or the switch itself could be faulty
Do you have cruise control? Does it work? If it doesn't then most likely you need to replace the brake light switch. The switch can be found on the brake pedal assembly.
Abs control valve it's a big unit under hood with all the brake lines going to it then out of it to calipers. It has wire harness connector un plug it and try brakes aware that abs won't work but brakes will operate be careful until this is verified if pulsing stops that control valve has a problem. My advice is to never buy another Volvo I won't I had one
you have a piece of solder broken off the controller of your hvac unit, causing power not to get to the blower motor it self. take test light and see if you have power at the blower motor. check and see if you have continuty or brake between the power wire at the blower motor and at the hvac control unit. if wires are good then the problem will lie in the hvac control unit. check and see if the blower is working at all speeds, if it works on some speeds thens the blower motor resistor.
