We have a short cup problem. When we make a tall cup,the machine gives us a short cup instead every time.

No. It's a high efficiency washer and it doesn't fill up with water like older models use to. So it wouldn't make any sense to change it..

It needs to be reprogramed. If some one holds a coffee button down to long it will reset itself back to small coffee.
Push and hold the button for the coffee you want, but hold it all the way through the process. Don't release the button until you get the amount of coffee you want for that button, then release the button. That should get you the same amount next time. You can do this for each coffee button.
If that doesn't fix it, then you might need a new flow meter.
