Getting spark? Power coming from the battery I think you meant to say, if I am correct. If it won't jump start, sounds like a cable from battery to vehicle is not connected. Igniton switch connection or fuse maybe. Check the daisy chaining of the negative battery cable for clean contacts. Also a starter relay could be bad. Just some more suggestions to add. Don't drive to far from home until repaired. Towing cost too much as you know by now. Never did like remote locks, We as humans seem to be getting more and more depended on convienances that cause us more inconvienances. Could try a positive cable to starter to check if it will turn over the starter. Voltage regulator could cause battery not to charge while driving. When car dies, do lights work or they dim from engine sucking battery dry. Just some suggestions.
might be due to the battery being bad and may need replacement but if the battery is holding a charge then it might be due to a short out in some place
Your alternator is not charging the Battery, I would replace the battery with a new gel battery and have the alternator checked, bets on your battery just died.
I was told about that and what I remember is this:....The history that the car's computer has stored to keep your car running properly is lost when the battery goes dead....then when the battery is charged the computer has to gain back all that data to properly tune your car. Suposidly it takes 30 starts and drives to regain enough data to get back where you were.
Some are not sure that's true but I believe it.
Sounds like your cars alternator is bad. The injectors in the motor along with everything else (including the cars computer) needs a steady stream of power in order to function. The injectors work through magnets that open and close ports thus use electricity. the car could not run without power (alternator not charging the battery anymore). The oil light comes from the computer not receiving the correct power input so may start to glitch and alert you of things that are not happening. Usually when the battery dies all of the gauges will die and the radio will shut off. most power accessories will not be available. However, better safe then sorry. You should check your oil ;) Be safe! Thanks for asking! Glad I could help.
