Question about Miele CVA615 Espresso Machine

Water coming out of the hot water dispenser all the time!

I have my unit installed about 2 years old but never used it until 3 weeks ago when a coffee drinking roomate moved in.. They made coffee every day with no problems.. The also used the steamer with no problems.. Last week I decided to try the hot water function with dispensed hot water fine. The next time They made coffee 1/2 of the water came out as coffee and 1/2 came out through the hot water spout. When we try to use the steamer water comes out of the hot water spout also and the steam doesn't work. Although it seems to be trying.. I called tech support and they said the valve is problaby stuck and to call a service guy for $200 to come fix it.

The unit was only been used for 3 weeks.. Athought it sat unused for a year or two..

Any ideas on a quick fix to release the valve? I'm handy so I can take apart the unit if needed..

Thanks

Use Citric Acid.

  1. Dissolve about one tablespoon of citric acid in the water reservoir.
  2. Fill the boiler completely. Open the steam valve and start a hot water cycle until water comes out the steam vent. Stop the hot water cycle, close the vent.
  3. Let the boiler heat up about 5 minutes. Then turn off the power.
  4. Let the acid solution work for about 1/2 hour.
  5. Pull a 30 second shot to change the water in the boiler.
  6. Repeat flushing cycles (steps 3, 4, & 5) until the water looks clear. Refill the reservoir with water and acid as needed.
  7. Wash out the water reservoir.
  8. Pull 5 or shots to get the acidic water out of the boiler. Run a hot water cycle to clean the acidic water out of the steam vent.
  9. Let the unit come to temperature and look for leaks.
  10. Make some coffee and look for leaks.
  11. Froth some milk and look for leaks.

Our Delonghi Prima Donna always made hot coffee up until 2 weeks ago

Try first to heat the cups ,and then make the coffee.
Becouse the water for coffee and for hot water comes from the same way.

Hi, my insinkerator hot water dispenser is leaking from the bottom screw. It is a couple of years old. Moder SST

My unit is 3 1.2 tears old. It started to delay the flowing of hot water. Today I held the lever down until hot water came out but I noticed water leaking from inside the unit. I figured that the tank failed, and since it was over 3 years old I decided to open it up. What I found was that there is a plastic tube at the top of the unit that was very discolored and brittle which developed a crack. when I touched it it completely severed. I called the Insinkerator hotline at 1800-558-5700 and they told me that opening the unit voids the warranty. I said that it appears to be out of warranty and I needed just the plastic tube for repair. The per on on the phone said that as a one time courtesy that a new unit would be shipped to me free of charge and that I could install it myself or they will have a tech do it. I opted to do it myself. Hope this helps

Our Magimix 11400 (less than 2 years old) heats normally, the vapour nozzle fonctions too, but our problem : when the coffee selection switch is put on the motors starts up, seems to fonction properly but...

Hello Pat, You have a common occurring problem. Your tubing in clotted. The least expensive solution is to use regular vinegar instead of water for several cycles, no coffee grounds. The clot will dissolve and water flow will return to normal. Cycle just water until no taste or smell of vinegar is present. Have some HOT COFFEE.

Hamilton Beach 87330 water cooler

Hello! About 2 weeks ago, the same problem began on my Hamilton Beach water dispenser.
Last week, I called the HB service support, and they told me to do the following reset procedure:

1. Dispense 3 cups from the HOT water side, and also, 3 cups from the COLD water side.
2. Turn BOTH back switches OFF (the ones on the back of the water dispenser).
3. Unplug the dispenser, and LEAVE it unplugged for 24 hours.
4. After 24 hours, turn the back switches ON and plug it in.
5. Leave it on for 4 hours WITHOUT dispensing any water.

...it's been about 12 hours since I've dispensed water again for the first time, and so far, SO GOOD! I'll update if the problems reappear.

Hamilton Beach 87330 water dispenser: no auto shut off

Glen,
We purchaced this water dispencer about 2 years ago, everything was working normal, water heater works fine and the cooler would come on and go off normally, until you dispenced cold water and then the coller would cool down and shut of like it's supposed to.
Afetr a couple of years , one day it started cooling continuously and wouldn't stop, I've just shut the cooler switch off on the back of the unit until i can figure the problem out, unit #(87330).
I believe the problem is in the circuit control board, but with out further testing i can't be sure .

No coffee, water going to the drip tray

OK, so this is a problem with your brew unit. The unit is not cycling correctly to tell the water to come through.

We had another problem like this just this week.

The wat we fixed it was 1) Give the Brew Unit a really good clean. 2)Make sure the Brew Unit can complete a cycle - manually rotate the brew unit components through a cycle 3) Lubricate the Brew Units moving parts if necessary using some Saeco or Other Food Grade Lubricant

Then try watch a complete coffee cycle by leaving the side door of your machine open, and tricking the micro switches into thinking the door is closed by engaging them with some card or something similar.

Let us know if this does not resolve your issue.
