i am find difficult to get drivers for Compaq V5000,
try to make the computer install the required drivers from internet but failed.
the required drivers are: MASS STOREAGE CONTROLLER, NETWORK CONTROLLER,PCI DEVICE,PCI DEVICE,SM BUS CONTROLLER, USB CONTROLLER. Please help me to get the right drivers for the laptop. Your help highly appreciate.

The computer has an Intel 440BX chipset on it. Chipset drivers are built into Win ME or later, required from www.intel.com for Win 98 or NT. You'll also need to identify the audio, network and video drivers and possibly obtain drivers for them as well.
Try the HP web site for info about the drivers, many of which can be downloaded there. HP did not trash the Compaq Deskpro driver downloads when it bought up Compaq. HP and Carly have trashed up just about everything else tho in the last 3+ years..

This often happens because Image Copier installation must be done in exact order as described in the instruction manual. To fix the problem you need to uninstall and reinstall everything back in right order.Also remember to restart the system when required.
Unplug the image copier
Uninstall the driver (remove from installed scanners and remove driver files).
Restart your computer.
Install the driver,.
Reinstall PhotoImpression6 software.
During installation ensure that you authorize the system changes when asked. If possible disable any security software.

OK simply get yourself a XP SP2 Install DVD this doesn't require SATA drivers, and will install on any drive at all. If the drive is already formatted and has an operating system, you should not need a driver either? If you cannot address the drive it is probably damaged in such a way, that it cannot be mounted.
