E2 red misfeed indicator/status code

I had a misfeed indicator, giving me an E2 status code. I have removed & cleared the paper path thru the fuser area, paper feed area & exit area, but the status code still appears & I'm unable to get my machine to work. What can I do.

My Xerox Work Centre XD 125f showed the red misfeed indicator after a paper misfeed & gave me a E2 status code. I cleaned the path thru the fuser, paper & exit area but the E2 status code still show & can't get it to work. My Xeros doesn't have numerical buttons except for 2, one for multiples of "tens" copies & another for "1" for more than one copy/ies.

Here is a picture of the aforementioned broken gear, with a replacement gear visible for comparison:

The printer repairman said that the plastic gear found in this and similar models can fail after as early as a few months of use. Best of luck!

The fuser is moved and lost its exact position should be again adjusted to its proper position.its simple.the error E2 means to adjust the fuser unit only.but without the technician at your place you cannot adjust it.still you can try removing the unit its very easy .just remove the screws after you remove the drum unit out.and try to adjust it.may it work if adjusted properly.or call the technician.its not major problem.do not worry.thanks.keep me updated.

E-2 is a fake paper jams, fact of the matter is that E-2 means the main board detected a fault during self initialization . At the point of E-2 being displayed, open and close the clamshell. The original status code that caused the E-2 will be displayed. Then press the "0" key to observe the subcode. This will surely help you to further diagnose the situation.

Hope that helps.........

MY PRINTER STOPPED PRINTING AND GIVES A ERROR MESSAGE THAT THERE IS A MISFEED. I CAN NOT SEE THE PAPER FROM THE FRONT OR TOP ARE THERE ANY OTHER SOURCES THAT I CAN CHECK TO CLEAR THE MISFEED, IF THERE IS...

You need to consult your manual for all the paper paths that you may have missed.

Check all paths and go out and buy paper path cleaner, follow the instructions on the package and completely clean out the paper paths.

This should loosen or remove the stuck paper and get the printer printing again.

Please write back results (good or bad)

Xerox WorkCentre Pro 215 E2 Error Code

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

It is entirely possible you have a small piece of paper that got ripped off somehow and it is now blocking the sensor leading the machine to think it has a paper jam.
Follow your jam clearance instructions again and pay close attention and rotate all movable parts in the jam area many times, then reboot the machine multiple times and allow the machine to completely come up before rebooting again, it may be necessary to reboot the machine 3 or 4 times to clear this error, each time following the jam clearance, if this doesn't resolve then you should have an expert take a look at the machine.
