Need software for dell 720 printer. won't work without it. can get a driver but is useless without software program files

Choose your operating system, click on where it says Dell-Driver and download the file to your desktop. Then click on it and install the software onto your laptop. This will install your printer.

Dell has Windows 2000 listed as an OS for this printer.

Go to:

Dell 720 Printer Driver

Use the drop-down menu to select Windows 2000 OS if it is not already showing. Click on Download Now and Save the file to your Desktop.

Uninstall previous software before installing the new.

All printers are compatible to a degree.

What operating system are you running on your dell 1521 laptop? What drivers are supported on your Dell 720 printer?

If you are running Windows Vista on your laptop and there are only drivers for your printer up until Windows XP and nothing is on Dell's website for your printer in terms of drivers, then you can only try to run Windows Vista in Compatibility Mode.

If this doesn't work, then you'll need to get a new printer.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came withthe printer. When the software program asks you to connect theprinter to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

yes...go to support.dell.com and see if your Imac is supported in the drivers section
