HOW DO I HOOK UP A NOISE SUPPRESSOR WITH THREE WIRES COMING OUT OF IT. WHEN I HOOK UP THE BLUE WIRE THE AMPS STAY ON. THEY SHOULD GO OFF BUT THEY DON T.

The blue wire from the stereo is for something else, like a retracting antenna. So don't connect the blue wire there. The Blue wire of the suppressor is the 'new' Red hot wire that connects to the red wire (12 volts input) of the stereo.

I just bought a timer to replace a light switch. The switch I m replacing has two black wires. The new time switch has FOUR wires...black, blue, white and green. Any advice?

Hook your black wire to the black and the blue wires. If you look back in the box further there should be a bundle of white wires hooked together, hook the white wire to them. If there is a bare copper wire in the box also then the green wire should be hooked to that.

Hampton bay ceiling fan

Your black wire hooks up to your fan. The blue wire hooks up to your light. And your white wires hook up with the white wires from the fixture, and the bare copper wire hooks up to your green ground wire. Please contact me if you need further help. Good Luck, and I hope this works for you. Jim

WIRING DIAGRAM

The light box in your ceiling should have two or three wires. Black and White, or Red, Black and White.

If you have two wires (one switch to control everything):
Black is power - hook this to the fan's power wire (and the fan's light wire if applicable)
White is neutral - hook this to the fan's neutral wire.

If you have three wires (two separate switches):
Red is power for the light - hook this to the fan's light wire if applicable
Black is for the fan - hook this to the fan's motor
White is neutral - hook this to the fan's neutral wire.

Hooking up new thermostat to new furnace

Letter designations for honeywell tsats R=24 volt power, W=heat, Y=cooling, G=fan, C=common wire for the 24volt power to tstat. Generally R is the red tstat wire and so on. Blue tstat wire can be hooked up to common at the tstat. On the heater the blue tstat wire would be hooked up to the C terminal. But this also depends on the manufacturer of heating unit.
