Question about PDAs

I have 3 sets (6 units) of the Cobra Li6750-ZWX ECVP C. All 6 are less than one month old and the clips on every one has broken. I was advised by Canadian Tire that they would not exchange or refund them. You have a great product - it serves our needs well for building staff that need to communicate within the building. We have not abused these items... staff actually for the most have been wearing lightweight summer uniforms, so the waistband and belts are mot excessively bulky. I would like to know if you are able to send a bundle of clips... they obviously will break again... or if there is an alternate case for these usits that will accommodate wearing them on our waistbands/ belts. My Blackberry Edge 8820 sends and deletes SMS texts all by itself. Automatically mutes any telephone conversations. It also scrolls through the Menus all by itself. Have taken the battery out and tried...

Hello.

From your description, sounds like a hardware problem.

My suggestion would be to return the unit for a replacement, since it is only a month old.

I've had phones that have been problematic and wouldn't work correctly and my provider replaced them.

Hope this helps.

Motorola Motorokr Z6M will not turn on

Hello everyone, I also have the same phone, and the same is happening to me, I've changed the phone 4 times in less than 3 months (Metro PCS carrier). My 16-year-old brother had almost the same problem with his RAZR 2 years ago, but he knew ho to fix it, so I gave him my phone everytime it freezed up. It seems the only way to fix this is:

take out memory card (if applicable)
take out the battery and put it on constantly.
If it doesn't work leave it charging for at least 1 hr. Then do all over again

you have to be real patient, it will take a while till it actually comes on.

UPDATE: I just fix my 4 and last phone, as of yesterday, while my cell was broken I switched to Sprint, and got me the new Samgsung Instinct S30

Looking for users manual for a cobra SR10 handheld scanner

Couldn't find that exact model, but this is Cobra's product manual page. I'm sure if you look on the back of the unit, you will find the exact model number.

Can I hot sync z22 palm without the touchscreen?

The data on your old Z22 is very likely very secure, and the touch screen problem is very common - there are a few tricks to get the touch screen working long enough to transfer the data.
I have a web page entirely for maintaining, repairing, and interfacing your Z22 at:
kidbots.com/WEBADD/Z22_PALM_PILOT/Z22_PALM_PILOT.html

You can try these tricks, or just replace the screen for $9 U.S., since the screen only needs you take the unit apart and flip open a connector lock ...

I would strongly advise getting a solid plastic cover over your new Z22, since this is the key to keeping the screen working...

hope the information is of help to you

good luck

Unresponsive after removing and reinstalling battery

Re-installing the complete operating system, re-loading the service book files, and re-initializing the account from your provider would have most likely fixed the Blackberry. If this does not work, then there is an internal ROM or uPC fault.

Phone got wet

I had a very similar problem when I dropped my phone in a mudpuddle. I could not get it to work at all and I think the connector that is used by the hotsync cable was shorted with muddy water because it kept trying to rngage the hotsync operation even without a cable.

I disassembled the phone as much as possible and got some distilled water and rinsed the unit very thoroughly It is important to use distilled water because distilled water has all of the mineral content removed and is non conductive.

After that, you can dry the unit with a hair dryer, but it is unlikely you will be able to get the water out of the phone that way very effectively. I had access to an oven that had accurate controls and set it at 180 degrees and left the phone in there for several hours.

When I reassembled and turned it on, everything worked fine again. The only thing I noticed was that the backlight was less uniform than before. I think that was because of some of the contaminants from the mudpuddle that I could not rinse free. It is barely noticeable, and I have been runnig great for 6 months since.

I hope this helps...

Will not power up

Had same problem with my GO910 unit, after it was about 6 months old. Contacted TomTom and sent unit back. They said that they are aware of the problem. They sent me back a new GO 720 with 2008 maps as they said they could not fix the problem in the 910. and they were not importing anymore 910 into Australia.
