I have been using Nero Express V 6.0 on my newest computer [operating system Windows 7] for over a year, and suddenly it won't allow me to burn DVDs. Is this a driver problem? ... and if so, how can fix it?

When you try to burn, how many steps in Nero Express work correctly.
What happens when you try to burn?
What error-message(s) do you get?
Does it seem to burn a disk, but the resulting disk is "empty" or "never-written-to" ?

Unable to copy music to cd by using nero7

First you need to locate your music/audio. If it was downloaded from Limewire/Frostwire the default location would be C:\Documents and Settings\**Your Username**\Shared

You can also access your music/audio through Limewire/Frostwire, by going to your Library, then highlighting a file that you want to burn and press explore. This will open the folder containing the highlighted file.

Alternatively use the search to search for something you know is in the folder you want to access or eg. search for the extension of the music/audio you want to burn.

----------------------------------------

First it may be worth mentioning that there are two ways of burning audio in Nero 7. Using Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM (The original Nero program). I find both very simple to use, but prefer Nero Express, so That's what I will use here.

First open Nero StartSmart:

3210d1212478530t-making-audio-cd-using-nero-7-nero-express-step-1.gif

Pressing add is not necessary. You can also open folders outside of Nero Express, and then you drag and drop the same way.

You can make mp3 disks using Nero Express as well. Just choose make Data Disk instead of Audio CD in Nero StartSmart. The only difference you will see is that instead of minutes you will be adding size (MB)

In case you run into playback issues when using Nero Express, then you have two options. You could try using Nero Burning ROM. Raaf explains here how to do that with Nero 6, but Nero 7 is very similar:

Burning a (audio) CD from your MP3's (Windows)

Another way is to run a tool called CD/DVD Drive Speed (can be found in Nero StartSmart under Tools, where you let Nero burn test disks for checking the best speed for this type of disk.

Hope this helps and Good luck idea.gif

I have an Iomega CDRW 52x24x52 with nero 6 SW. I have upgraded to win 7 and now my original nero SW is not compatible. So what to do?

Hi,
As much I want you to enjoy your Nero 6 with your newly installed Windows 7, you can't. The reason behind that is Nero 6 is only designed to work up to Windows XP only. So it means it is not compatible with your Windows 7 anymore. My suggestion is you can also upgrade your Nero 6 to the newest version of Nero and that is Nero 10. In that way, you can still use Nero on your Windows 7 machine. Nero 10 gives a lot of new feature that you will enjoy like for example, you can now share HD video to Youtube, and a lot more. You may check this link for more information:http://www.nero.com/enu/nero10-features.html
I hope I answered your question.
Thanks a lot!!

I install windows 7 now my nero doesn't run

The following Nero products are compatible with Windows 7:

Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Platinum HD
Nero Multimedia Suite 10
Nero Kwik Media
Nero Video Premium HD
Nero Vision Xtra
Nero BurningROM
Nero BackItUp & Burn (as of version 1.2.17)
Nero MediaHome 4
Nero BurnExpress
Nero 9 (as of version 9.4.26.0)

Sadly we have to inform you that any Version of Nero prior to Nero 9 will not officially be supported with Windows® 7.

You could try to change the way Nero is launched, but it may not work.

I have installed windows vista and when i try to install nero burning software 6 and nero media player message is displayed it is not compatible with this version of windows what should i do

General system requirements
  • Microsoft ® Windows 98/98SE; Windows 2000 (service pack 4 or later); Windows XP; Windows 2003 server
  • Microsoft® Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (All applications beside InCD and Nero ImageDrive work in the x86 emulator that allows 32-bit Windows applications to run)
  • Microsoft® Windows Internet Explorer 4.0 or later
  • LightScribe support is only available for Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4 or later) and Windows XP or Windows MCE 2004 or greater operating systems
Current version is 10. There are a lot of driver differences between XP & Vista. I'd buy the new version. You could try compatibility mode but I suspect it won't work.
